What else should they put into cards for game used?

When Topps announced they were putting complete fight-used mouthpieces embedded into the cards in their July release of 2012 Topps Finest UFC .
Very unique piece
It got me to thinking...what else should card companies give us from an athlete that's game used?

First baseball, what about chewed gum..sunflower seeds...pieces of Gatorade bottles or cups. Maybe game used socks??? Disgusting to think about..but companies are putting it all out on the line now!

For Football, what about their mouth pieces, hair since there are a decent amount of players who have it long (Troy Polamalu come on! And we can see if he uses Head and Shoulders or not like in all of those commercials), and pieces of hip pads, shoulder pads game used.

And for Basketball. Gym shorts, benches they sit on, sweat bands unwashed of course! Wouldn't feel as authentic if it was. That would be a two-fer with game used sweat as well!

And finally for hockey..they should include, pieces of teeth (you know we get dino pieces from UD Goodwin Champions they could expand it to hockey where teeth are always lost and we can't get any closer than that), helmet, and pieces of the skates.

What do you think?? Would you want a piece of any of these?

  1. How about pieces a banner flown over a game? American flag?

  2. I wouldn't personally appreciate an American Flag cut up and put into trading cards. Old Glory deserves a little more respect than that. But, if they have some other flag that is flown over their stadium, that could be cool.

I'd loooooooooove to see some dirt from the pitching mounds from all of the stadiums put into cards. I have a Utah card from 2011 Allen and Ginter with dirt from one of their state parks, which gave me the idea.

    Just a thought. :-)

  3. Yeah...i didn't think the American flag one through very well when i typed it. I was just thinking of the American flag patches on the back of the baseball jerseys after 9/11.

  4. Getting disgusting with game-used mouthpieces. I would like to see more of some things rarely done, like buttons off jerseys, and labels from jerseys. I would also like to see jersey pieces done ONLY with home jerseys, who wants to look at a dull gray piece of cloth from a road uniform?

  5. Everyone wants unique mem cards, but the card companies say they are not cost effective. I, for one, would rather one unique mem card in a box instead of three jersey or bat cards. Yes Allen & Ginter, I'm talking to you.
