Review: Panini Limited Football 2013

Box Break Down:
  • 1 Pack Per Box, 7 Cards Per Pack
  • Three Autographs/Memorabilia Cards Per Box
  • One Legend or Phenom Per Box
  • One Insert or Parallel Per Box
  • $90 per box

BASE CARDS: A remade base card design that is very well done. As always it's done of foil board and this year has added bronze and black color. Every base card is numbered and base cards, Legends and Phenoms makes up the base set
The back of the card has statistics from last season along with a small writeup.

INSERTS: A refractor type parallel named Spotlight looks really nice against the base card design. You will land one insert per pack/box.

New to this years insert lineup is Field Vision which is a unique insert in which Panini added acetate to the players visor on their helmet.

AUTOGRAPHS:  The makeover continues in the product with it's much improved MATERIAL PHENOMS that Features a new design with oversized swatches and autographs. We lucked out and got a nice Patch in ours.

We also lucked out by getting a low numbered to 10 Edgerrin James auto in our box. The Monikers autographs are made up of a wide variety of players and superstars. We were quite excited with the autograph hits in this box.

You can also find Cut autographs in the product. We didn't land one, but you can find them of 20 different legends, including Red Grange, Pete Rozelle and Sammy Baugh. And we should also mention the return of ROOKIE LETTERMAN which are authentic letters from NFL jerseys that are autographed.
JERSEY/PATCH CARDS:The Limited Threads is basically the base card done over with a jersey card swatch.

You can also find GAME DAY MATERIALS PRIME which are game used cards Taken from specific events that highlight some of the NFL's best players. And of course there are Prime Parallels to find as well.. Also can't forget the MATCHING NUMBERS PRIME Pairing two of the game's notable names material from players who wear or used to wear the same jersey number.

OVERALL THOUGHTS: Design is nice, the hits could be there, and they did a great job on the remake. The only glaring problem could be the price. It feels a little steep for 7 cards. But, if you are a high roller and like products that you can gamble on, we recommend this for you. So many great hits can be found. But, if you are conservative and want something that guarantees you a big hit, this might not be the product for you. However, this was a fun one to bust not knowing what could be hidden behind every card.
