Mail Day Saturday:TTM Carrie Fisher Autograph

I feel like I am a bit out of the loop when it comes to doing TTM's (through the mail) anymore. One, I don't have the time to research addresses. Two, there are sooooooooooooo many I want that I am not sure who to send to first. Three, I don't have the resources for athletes/famous people to always sign other than a white filler card or an index card.

But, when I started seeing Carrie Fisher signing around the blogosphere recently, I said, why not try it seeing the great success rate.

So I grabbed my best Topps Star Wars card I didn't mind having a signature on and sent it in with a nice handwritten note and a SASE.

In a couple of weeks, boom, this arrived! Very nice signature.

The only problem with the autograph is, rumor has it that her mom, famous actress Debbie Reynolds, does the signings for her. Not that having an autograph of Debbie is something to complain about, but I would prefer Debbie be Debbie and Carrie be Carrie. If this was Debbie that signed it, wished she has signed it as herself. But, rumors are rumors and you just don't know. For now, I would like to think that Carrie signed it.

However, I would like to point out this was the return address......

What do you guys think of this? Carrie's? Debbies? Do you like autographs being signed by possibly someone else? Did you TTM Carrie Fisher?

  1. A few months ago i mailed a TTM to Carrie Fisher. I enclosed 2 cards to be signed. I received back both cards signed in blue sharpie.

  2. I hope they are real, but either way I'm okay with it.

  3. Hard to tell. Maybe some of her affairs are managed through her mom's businesses? I'd just take it for face value unless you find out something different for a fact. I think it is cool and will being mailing one of my own cards off very soon.
