REVIEW:Supernatural Seasons 4-6 (GIVEAWAY)

Season's 4-6 of Supernatural brought in a ton of excitement. Whether it was meeting the Angels for the first time and character Castiel or re-appearances of Sam's demonic ally Ruby or the guest appearance of Paris Hilton in season 5 as a Pagan God, you know the Winchester's battle of good vs evil never seems to end. Which is a good thing for fans as every season continues to get better.

You know what else gets better? The newest Supernatural release by Cryptozoic.

Every box of Supernatural Seasons 4-6 comes with 24 cards and 5 cards per pack. Roughly 2-3 hits and a price tag of  $75.

The base cards caption the great moments from seasons 4-6. The cards have nice photography and high gloss. There are 72 cards in the base set and I assuming you will get one base set per box.

Inserts pretty much fall one-per-pack. These fall 1:4 packs. Top left is the Notable Locations, next to it is Disguises and on the bottom is my favorite, Character Bios.

I couldn't find any info on the silver parallels for both base and inserts (they have a slight rainbow foil shine too) but I have to assume they as well fall 1:4 packs.

This one appears to be a gold parallel. These are numbered to 50.

I also couldn't find any info on this guy either. It's one of the collector bios, but much cooler. Seems to be printed on a superchrome surface if you remember those in the 90's. Slight shadowbox appeal too.

Wardrobe swatches fall 1:24 packs or one per box. There are also dual wardrobe cards that fall at a tougher 1:288 packs. I pulled Demore Barnes who played Archangel Raphael. I like the layout and design. The swatch is unique as well.

Autographs have easier odds at 1:14 packs. All are on-card and look great. The checklist for autographs is long too which ensures you a fun chase to collect them all and a good chance your favorite character will be found.

Check out the autograph checklist after I show you the two autos I found in my box.

Overall, a solid product and decent price for what you can pull. Good autograph checklist as well. Like with any Cryptozoic product, there are surprises in every pack.

By now other than saying to yourself, I need some, you are probably wondering when the giveaway part of this review comes into play, well, now.

I have a couple more giveaways coming up too with reviews of Cryptozoic products.

Here is how the prizes break down for this one.

1st place, 1st on the random list, will win a random "hit" card. Most likely an autograph card along with a few bonuses :)
2nd place, 2nd on the random list, will win a handful of inserts
May be bonus winners with more entries. Prizes will be determined.
Now onto the small writing and how to enter.

  1. The cards look really nice and you didn't do bad in your box with people you got. I haven't ever tried the cards though I do like the show. It may draw me in after seeing these. The pieces of clothing in the cards are my favorite part.

  2. Love the look of this product. Have my fair share of non-sports cards from NCIS and Avengers:Age of Ultron. My fiance is a huge fan of Supernatural, so I will be letting her know about this for sure.

  6. I enjoyed my case of cards. It was slightly different than their first Supernatural release, but i think the changes were improvements. (PS - Not entering the contest. I just wanted to comment on the set).

  7. Nice product, but why couldn't the stars of the show sign?

  8. Never seen the show, but the cards look cool enough. I will echo Tracy's sentiments on the leads not signing though. Given the seeming popularity of the sets, I will concede it doesn't render the whole enterprise completely pointless, but I still find it to be a major letdown.

  9. I think the cards look great. I like how many autograph cards are available. But some of the characters did not need to have autograph cards.

  10. As always, CZE releases another great Trading Cards set in Supernatural Seasons 4-6. Packed with a great autograph line-up and beautiful card design. Leaving collectors and breakers with an exciting chance to pull some of their favorite characters from the show. I highly recommend all reading out there to break a box or two of their own or browse CZE's other releases (current & future) as you are bound to find something you love.

  12. I think they look great! I bought the seasons 1-3 set less than a year ago as well as the matching binder (which is super cool and came with a special wardrobe card) and managed to snag a few of the wardrobe cards on ebay for a good deal as well. Those cards were really well made and high quality, and these look just as nice.I wish they would have gotten Sam/Dean's actors to sign cards again, but there's a lot of cool characters that they did get the actors to sign for, so I'm still excited.

  13. Awesome set. Like the Lindsey auto! It's great there's almost always 3 hits in this set. More bang for your buck. Not sure this product would be worth the price otherwise.

  15. Solid product, I wished top signers were in but I am glad that there is a big checklist of signers.

  16. I really like this product and even with a $75 price tag per box I think with the number of hits that you get it is a really good value.

  17. In all honesty I'm not familiar with the show (heard of it obviously, but haven't watched it). That being said I think the cards are pretty cool and a pretty good value. I know if I was a huge fan of a show like this I would be really pumped about the autograph and wardrobe swatches

  18. I've heard of these cards going around. It's pretty cool, though it woulda been cool if they had a special photoshoot just for these cards instead of pulling screenshots from the episodes.
