REVIEW:2016 Topps Allen And Ginter (BONUS HIT-MONSTER PULL) +GIVEAWAY!

One of my yearly purchases, usually in the form of retail, is Topps Allen and Ginter.

There is just so much fun packed into one of these boxes that I can't help but enjoy a bust. From sports stars to oddities to celebs, this product is refreshing pack to pack.

For I believe my first hobby break of it, I may have done one other, this box was packing and it was packing full of goodness.

Let's take a look:

In every box of 2016 Topps Allen And Ginter you will find yourself emerged in 24 Packs with 8 Cards Per Pack. There are 3 hits in which you could pull a combo of the following:
- Autographs
- Relics
- Originals
- Book Cards
- Cut Signatures
- Rip Cards
- Ancient Rome Relics featuring real Roman coins

And one box topper. Boxes run roughly $85 per.

For my box topper, I pulled a regular one of Bryce Harper.

But there are many other versions to pull.
  • Box Topper Relic - Numbered to 25.
  • Box Topper Autograph - Numbered to 15.
  • Box Topper Autographed Relic - Numbered to 5.
  • Box Topper Cut Signature - Numbered 1 of 1.
The base cards in Ginter have the usual look and feel. One that most of us don't get tired of.

The base set is 300 cards deep with 50 Sp's and is full of stars of today, past and future along with some oddities.

My best rookie finds:

Sp's
Oddities including comedians, space and announcers.
The base cards also have parallels that you don't have to rip your box to find. They are glossy and are 1/1's. I have none to show but it's as a heads up.
This product always comes packed with miniature versions of the base. These fall one per pack and have different variations/parallels.

There are also variations to the mini's.

These three were my Ginter backs including Trevor has written an amazing Story. They fall 1:5.

Overall look at the mini parallels and odds:
  • Allen & Ginter Back 1:5 Packs.
  • Allen & Ginter Black-Bordered 1:10 Packs. (a couple are below)
  • Allen & Ginter No Number
  • Allen & Ginter Brooklyn Back Numbered to 25.
  • Allen & Ginter Wood Numbered 1 of 1
  • Allen & Ginter Glossy Numbered 1 of 1
  • Mini Metal Parallel (only 100 subjects) Numbered to 3
Fun additions here. These are mini inserts that fall 1:5 packs.

Offerings include:
U.S. Mayors, Subways and Streetcars, Laureates of Peace and Ferocious Felines

Now onto the other inserts. The design of these continues that Ginter feel throughout.
Baseball Legends:

The Numbers Game that has a huge 100 card checklist fall 1:2 packs

Natural Wonders which was my favorite of the inserts. Very cool look at some of the natural wonders of the world.
Now onto my hits. Usually boxes come with three, I got four and that last one is an absolute doozy.

Framed Mini Relics. I have always been a fan of these.

Regular base relics. These come in two versions. I don't know how to tell them apart but it appears from the two I pulled it has to do with the border. So I can only assume one is A and one is B. If you have any further info I can update this with please add that to your comments below too.

This is super cool. I really like the oddball add-in relics.

And now time for some major boom.

Allen & Ginter Book Cards numbered to 10. I was in shock. And these come with some prime pieces too.

Other offerings not in my box for pulls are:

Ancient Rome Relics that features ancient Roman coins. (pretty cool)
Silver Coin Parallel - Numbered 1 of 1

Allen & Ginter Autographs
Black Framed Parallel are numbered to 25.
Red Ink Parallel are numbered to 10.

Allen & Ginter Framed Originals Framed original Allen & Ginter buybacks are numbered 1 of 1.

Allen & Ginter Book Cards with solo subjects too - Numbered to 10.
Cut Signatures Includes political and historical figures - Numbered 1 of 1.

RIP CARDS (always wanted to pull one of these and figure out if I wanted to rip it and rip it good)
RIP CARD (1 per case)
DOUBLE RIP CARD

Contents of the rip cards can include:
Artist's Originals
Allen & Ginter Red Autographs that are numbered to 10.

Allen & Ginter Mini Exclusives (50 subjects) -
Card Numbers 351-400. Mini Wood Exclusives are numbered 1 of 1.
Mini Metal Exclusives are numbered to 3.

Plus I hear there are unannounced add ins such as Topps employee autographs and who knows what else. This product is simply loaded with fun.
But here is the 2016 Allen And Ginter checklist to help you out, CLICK HERE.

Overall, I mean a box break doesn't get any better than this one. I can't promise everyone will deliver like this but all I can say that is if you were a Ginter fan before, 2016 won't disappoint. If you are new to Ginter, I wouldn't tell you not to try it. There is so much in here.
