REVIEW:2016 Topps Strata Baseball ( AUTOGRAPH GIVEAWAY)

One of the more popular products on the market swings it's way back in 2016. It's one that I enjoyed picking cards up of from football (still sad Topps no longer has cards in that market) but never dipped a taste into the baseball world of it, til now.

What were my thoughts on this product, well, read on!

In every box of 2016 Topps Strata baseball, you will get one silver pack with 2 cards inside. Both cards will be hits and guaranteed one on-card autograph and one relic card per box. Boxes currently run $76.

The product has all of the key rookies of 2016 including Corey Seager, Stephen Piscotty, Max Kepler, Aaron Nola, Trea Turner, Rob Refsnyder, Kyle Schwarber, Greg Bird, and Luis Severino. It also has some of the big names of today and yesterday.

For a full look at the checklist, check HERE.

With no base cards for this product or inserts (other than parallels for the hits) let's get down to business right off.

My first pull is a base version of Clearly Authentic MLB Authenticated Relic Card of Kyle Schwarber. It's a beautiful card. The relic is MLB Authenticated and layered under acetate. I think this will help keep the relic from being damaged. The card is also very thick and well made.
.
There are also parallels to find of these which I bet look overly impressive when you put laundry tags, buttons and logo patches under the acetate.
  • Blue: sequentially numbered to 99.
  • Green: sequentially numbered to 75.
  • Black: sequentially numbered to 50.
  • Gold: sequentially numbered to 25.
  • Baseball: Includes a piece of game-use baseball: sequentially numbered to 3.
  • Red MLB Silhouetted Batter Logo Patch: numbered 1/1.
  • Red Laundry Tag: numbered 1/1.
  • Red Button: numbered 1/1.
  • Red Button Hole: numbered 1/1.
  • Red Majestic Logo Patch: numbered 1/1.
My other pull from the box was a Strata Autograph of Omar Vizquel. Once again a very cool looking card and well designed. The middle where the autograph is see-thru but I put a white piece of paper under it so you guys can see the autograph better.

As with the rest of the product, there are parallels to find of these as well.
  • Orange: sequentially numbered to 125.
  • Blue: sequentially numbered to 99.
  • Green: sequentially numbered to 75.
  • Black: sequentially numbered to 50.
  • Gold: sequentially numbered to 25.
  • Red: sequentially numbered to 1/1.
Other hits not found in my box include,

Clearly Authentic Autographed Relic MLB Authenticated Cards with parallels of:
  • Blue: sequentially numbered to 99.
  • Green: sequentially numbered to 75.
  • Black: sequentially numbered to 50.
  • Gold: sequentially numbered to 25.
  • Red MLB Silhouetted Batter Logo Patch: numbered 1/1.
  • Red Laundry Tag: numbered 1/1.
  • Red Button: numbered 1/1.
  • Red Button Hole: numbered 1/1.
  • Red Majestic Logo Patch: numbered 1/1.
Strata Signature Patch Cards that are numbered to 25 with parallels of Gold /5 and RIVET that are 1/1's.
Strata Signature with parallels of Gold /25 and Red 1/1.
Dual Autograph that are numbered to 5
Cut Signatures that are numbered 1/1.

Overall, it's a beautiful product and can pack a punch. My box seemed a bit weak for the cost of it, but I would put this product in that big risk/big return category especially with only 2 cards to bank-on. Not every box will pack a punch, but when it does, you will feel it. I have seen some of the cards on eBay and they have made me drool on this keyboard I am typing on. Go ahead and look them up yourself!

If you like to risk on a product, this is one I would highly suggest, if not, well, better to just pick up singles.
