REVIEW:2017 Torque Racing

I feel with every release I have opened of Panini NASCAR products, they have gotten better. I was wondering who would be able to step it up for this sport and do what Press Pass did for it. Panini is stepping up with each release.

Let's see how Torque goes shall we?

In each box of 2017 Torque racing, there are 5 packs with 10 cards per pack. Find one auto or memorabilia card in every pack. Also look for One Clear Vision Insert and Four Other Inserts Per Box.
Find one insert, one Clear Vision insert and one autograph or memorabilia card in every pack. Boxes are running about $150 each.

There are 99 cards in the base set from my research. They are broken down into many subsets such as Pre-Race, Family Ties and car pics. The design is pretty basic. They saved the horizontal car pics for the last cards in the set which is typical.

There are a good amount of parallels in the product for inserts and base. (I should mention I grouped these badly as two of these in this picture are inserts in the Directing Traffic Jeff Hammond and the Rookie Stripes Erik Jones when they all should have been base)

The base parallels include, Gold, Blue /150, Red /100, Artist Proof /75, Purple /50, Holo Silver /25, Holo Gold /10, Blackout 1/1, Test Proof Plates 1/1, Printing Plates 1/1.

Now we can finish the discuss of parallels and inserts. The themes fit NASCAR perfectly with names like Primary Paint, Horsepowered Heroes, and Manufacturer Marks including the two I put in the last picture as well in Rookie Stripes and Directing Traffic.

Claiming The Chase, Directing Traffic, Horsepower Heroes, Manufacturer Marks, Rookie Stripes, Special Paint ,Victory Laps all have parallels of Gold /199 and Holo Silver /99

While,  Primary Paint, Running Order and Trackside have Blue /99, Red /49, Green /25, and Checkerboard /10.

One of the coolest things I like about Torque are the Clear Vision inserts. Whoever designed them, need a raise. The layout is spot on and they look incredible. I hope this is a sign of a future product because I would buy it up. This type of card brings me back to the 90's with it's mix of cardboard and acetate.

These also have parallels, Gold /149, Blue /99, Red /49, Green /25, and Purple /10.

There is also Track vision. These are still look nice, but not as great as the Clear Vision versions. I pulled one of Dale Jr that's a gold parallel. I assume these must be tougher pulls.

These also have parallels, Gold /149, Blue /99, Red /49, Green /25, and Purple /10.
Now onto the hits.

My first two box pulls was a Dual memorabilia card of Kevin Harvick. These also have parallels of, Blue /99, Red /49, Green /25 and Purple /10 or less for each.

My other hit was a quad relic /50 of Austin Dillion. These also have parallels of, Blue /99, Red /49, Green /25 and Purple /10 or less for each.

I like the design and layout on both but especially the dual memorabilia card.

My next find was a Ben Rhodes Trackside autograph /49. Blue /99, Red /49, Green /25, and Checkerboard /10 or less on all of the above.

And my final two hits in my final two packs were Jumbo Firesuit Signatures of Justin Allgrier which had an authenticity sticker on it and a Joey Logano red parallel. You can see it's a red by the background color. Other parallels include, Blue /99,  Red /49, Green /25, and  Purple #/10 or less for all.

Other hits not in my box include,
TORQUE PRIME ASSOCIATE SPONSOR , SILHOUETTES SHEET METAL SIGNATURES, METAL MATERIALS , RACED RELICS, SILHOUETTES FIRESUIT SIGNATURES , COMBO MATERIALS SIGNATURES BLUE, and PAIRINGS MATERIALS

OVERALL, not a bad break. Lots of numbered cards and some good looking cards. There are still plenty of sick looking patch hits to find out there. The Torque Prime Associate Sponsor cards look amazing and are 1/1 patch cards. Go look those up if you haven't seen one.

If you are a fan of NASCAR and collect the cards, I am sure that Torque will not disappoint you whether it's one pack, a box or a box break.

Please make sure to take a minute out to thank Panini America for providing this box for me to review and to be able to do a future GIVEAWAY with some of the cards. Follow Panini America on all social media sites and visit their SITE, as well.
