Stalked By Penny Sleeves

For anyone who has ever used this stuff ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓

Whether you're a teacher, parent, or a former child that has, you know this stuff gets everywhere. All it takes is one simple art project or mistaken spill of glitter and you will find it for weeks, and weeks and weeks.

I find in the hobby, penny sleeves are the same way. Once you open a package or take cards out of them, for some reason or another you will end up finding them everywhere in your house.

I found some on my counter next to the coffee maker.

In my drawer with the towels.

On the kitchen table

Between furniture and cushions

And even in my underwear drawer. Sorry, not posting a picture of that.

I can't figure out why they spread everywhere. I not only find them everywhere, I seem to step onto them everywhere as well. They can get a bit slippery on a flat carpet so I am always on the lookout especially near my card man cave area.

Am I alone in finding these everywhere? I doubt it. But, I would love to hear if I am or not. Let me know if you find penny sleeves everywhere.

    1. No it doesnt. You get one of those birthday cards or anything with it and it's endless for weeks

  2. Yes, yes, yes. They are only invisible when you actually need one. When you don't you get them stuck to your feet just walking from the kitchen to the bathroom in my house. Spot on, spot on.

  4. So true! Yet when I need one to pack up a trade they are nowhere to be found.

  5. Great post. They're usually confined to the two rooms where I have cards. But there are little stacks in several places. I throw a lot of them away too.

    1. I sadly throw some away to if they really annoy me when I find them

  6. They make the occasional appearance in my family room, but for the most part they're located in my office. My OCD doesn't allow me to reuse them, so I'm constantly throwing them away and not letting them linger around. But every now and then, you'll see a stack of new ones scattered on my desk or laying in a box.

  7. Quick story...when I was a senior in high school I was in chorus and one of the songs we had to do was "Mr. Sandman". The director thought it would be a good idea to have someone be Mr. Sandman and toss glitter into the air. I don't remember how it happened, but the entire bowl of glitter ended up all over me. Even taking multiple showers couldn't get all of the glitter off. That's my glitter story.

  8. More team bags then penny sleeves for me. I should toss the used ones but I never do. And something about the sticky edge means they piggy back on god knows what to god knows where in the house.

  9. Even worse...the team bag pull strips. They cling onto everything!
