Pink Week: Day 1

Collecting Cutch runs a second base filled month of pink cards over on his blog and has recently challenged us bloggers to post pink cards and get comments on said cards. For every post we make that features a pink card, and YOU GUYS comment on, he will donate $1 per comment to Save Second Base.

So I am thinking, the more posts, the more comments, the more I challenge him to donate. So I have grouped six groups of pink cards to show off this week and am CHALLENGING YOU to comment on each post.

I probably had enough pink cards to go the whole month, but, I will cut Cutch a break and just do it for six days.

I will say though, I am not doing this just for Cutch's challenge sake, I am doing this because it hits close to home as well as my mother-in-law had Breast Cancer and I saw all that she had to go through with treatments to clear herself of it. She has now been 5 years clear. I wouldn't wish that upon anyone so the more we can save Second Base, the better.

Here are today's cards,

If you want to make your own private donation please visit the National Breast Cancer Foundation.  There is a donate button on the main page and it only takes a minute of your time.  Every little bit helps.

So comment below and leave me your thoughts on the players featured in this post, your favorite pink cards, or what Save Second Base Means to you.

  1. That pink Kluber card reminds me of bad days as a Tigers fan watching him destroy them on any given night.

I'll be keeping a look out for every pink post.

    Good Job. 👍

  2. Comment! This sounds like a good idea, and it's inspired me to do a little something in the next few days.

  3. I'm loving all of the pink posts. Not sure of my all-time favorite pink card... but after seeing all of these Save Second Base posts... there are way more than I ever imagined.

  4. This is awesome!!! Keep spreading the awareness!!! The Klubot is the man. I really thought he was going to win the Indians the World Series in 2016 the way MadBum did in SF in 2014. I have lots of favorite pink cards. I think my favorite is the bat knob manurelic that Topps made of Cutch around 2012. It just looks awesome.
