Pink Week:Day 2

Collecting Cutch runs a second base filled month of pink cards over on his blog and has recently challenged us bloggers to post pink cards and get comments on said cards. For every post we make that features a pink card, and YOU GUYS comment on, he will donate $1 per comment to Save Second Base.

So I am thinking, the more posts, the more comments, the more I challenge him to donate. So I have grouped six groups of pink cards to show off this week and am CHALLENGING YOU to comment on each post.

I probably had enough pink cards to go the whole month, but, I will cut Cutch a break and just do it for six days.

I will say though, I am not doing this just for Cutch's challenge sake, I am doing this because it hits close to home as well as my mother-in-law had Breast Cancer and I saw all that she had to go through with treatments to clear herself of it. She has now been 5 years clear. I wouldn't wish that upon anyone so the more we can save Second Base, the better.

Here are today's cards,

If you want to make your own private donation please visit the National Breast Cancer Foundation.  There is a donate button on the main page and it only takes a minute of your time.  Every little bit helps.

So comment below and leave me your thoughts on the players featured in this post, your favorite pink cards, or what Save Second Base Means to you.

  1. Every time I see a card of Odor I automatically think of him punching Jose Bautista a few years ago.

    Good Job. 👍

  2. I'm probably one of the few non-Blue Jay fans that liked Jose Bautista and disliked Odor. So I'm enjoying the recent jokes that the punch he landed on Joey Bats was the last time he got a hit.

Glad to hear your mother in law beat breast cancer. It's nice to see baseball card guys get together and raise some money/awareness for a cause that supports women.

  3. CarGo was so good but tailed off so fast. I like Odor and I'm hoping he can get his average up again. Great way to support the cause!

  4. Like John... I think of Bautista when I think of Odor. As for Cargo... always wondered what his career would have looked like had the A's not traded him away.

  5. Glad to here your mother-in-law is 5 years cancer free!
