The Card Bin: What Did I Find This Time?

I really enjoyed doing this post over at The Card Bin blog and I wasn't just going to leave you all hanging with it. So without further ado, another post from The Card Bin, which is what I call this this tote right here:

I think most of us collectors have that one place we store all of our extra cards that are not PC related. This is where I stick mine. I also use this as a once-in-awhile dig through to bring back memories or for a just for fun experience. I will start posting cards from this bin to show you what's hiding in there. I honestly have no idea what is in there, I only know its autographs and memorabilia cards from the past 14 years. So this should be fun for both you and I!

Onto today's find:

The Post About Nothing

Yup, you read it. This post is about nothing.

Have I run out of ideas to write about? Absolutely not. I am just saving those for the New Year. Do I want to call this a filler post til that time comes? Yes. Why? I really don't know. I thought I had something ready to go for today, but I guess not.

So to fill up a post about nothing, I thought I would recap a few pics from way back when the blog first started since it is getting a complete makeover and see if any of you remember the pictures or the posts connected to them. Enjoy the memories of what once was. Remember also, these pics were taken when I was a rookie blogger, so some are awful lol.

And that's it. Here's to wrapping up this post about absolutely nothing but may have had a touch of something.

Break 'Em: 12 Packs Of 1991 Action Packed Football

Recently I showed off my surprise EPIC mail day from The Pack Gambler. In that article, I mentioned there were 12 packs of 1991 Action Packed Football that I would open at a later date. Well, the time has come.

Not only did I bust all 12 packs at a slow pace, it took me roughly an hour as I studied every card, but I have also put together the full gallery of all 12 packs. So sit back, take a moment back in time and enjoy!

The golden wrapper. It's sorta like the golden ticket into something wonderful. The wonderfulness of action packed field pics with embossing.

The cards!

A couple of Giants and Emmitt. As a Giants fan, I hate him. But, as a collector, I am glad to have found him.

Some BIG TIME Hall Of Famers found in this lot. Barry Sanders, John Elway and Troy Aikman.

My man Rodney! Some guy named Joe Montana as well.

Overall, a ton of fun. I was a bit disappointed not to have landed the Favre rookie after 12 packs but sometimes that's how the cookie crumbles. This also may mean I have to go and find some more :)

Upper Deck NPN Mail Day: 2014 Sp Golf Dual Relic!!

There is nothing better than getting a unexpected mail day and when that mail day is an Upper Deck NPN (no purchase necessary) mail day, you know it's going to be good. This particular one is from the 2014 Sp Game Used Golf.

I really enjoy getting cards from every sport, so when you get a dual relic card from Golf, especially with a legend like Couples, it's a really nice piece.

Have you ever received an Upper Deck NPN mail day? What's the best card you have gotten?

MINDBLOWING Surprise Mail Day From The Pack Gambler

It was just a normal day, slight breeze, partially sunny and a bit cold. I was making my usual morning run to the post office to pick up the mail always in anticipation of awaiting packages. I did get one of the packages I was counting on however there was a bigger one waiting for me. I read the label and saw that it was from The Pack Gambler. The package was very shocking since I wasn't expecting anything, what was inside was even more shocking.

I opened the box to find the this:

I first pulled out the 12 packs of 1991 Action Packed football (gonna save them for a Monday break 'em), and found these two sweet items!

Upon further digging...it was all about the base, about the base, no inserts. Sorry, that song is catchy though I hate it.

In this base card lot was Giants, NY Rangers and Yankees

Rookie cards!

Hakeem Nicks rookie and some inserts including my guy Randle.

I wonder which Eli face is on these...

Then found 4 Topps Chipz

Then this sweet baby from 2004! Shiny! I have never seen one of these.

Then the hit parade rained and boy did it rain....Two Nassibs. Love the Triple Threads.

Nice Eli addition!

Look at these patch cards!

WOW!

If you have read this blog, you know how I feel about Crown Royale auto silhouettes!

Then I found this. AMAZING!

Overall, my mind was blown. The surprise alone was amazing, but looking at what the contents were, wow. I am still speechless.

I would like to say a MONSTER THANK YOU to The Pack Gambler. They will be missed! It's really hard to lose someone great and trustworthy for the hobby but hopefully someday The Pack Gambler will return to full force.

I just have to end this again with another thank you to The Pack Gambler. Words cannot express the thanks for your kindness as your kind gesture will remain in my memory forever. Good luck on your next journey and keep in touch!
