REVIEW:2016 Topps Five Star Baseball+GIVEAWAY

Topps Five Star is a product is a product I haven't ever had the chance to open before. I have picked up singles, but never a box.

So let's see my rip of one. You gotta read on!

Boxes of 2016 Topps Five Star baseball run roughly $125 and each box comes with one pack with two cards. Each card will be a signed on-card autograph. So it's a high-end gamble for sure.
The base autographs such as this Sonny Gray I pulled, actually it's a parallel but a base card version, feature rookies, veterans and retired MLB players. The Sonny Gray I pulled is a Rainbow Parallel that's numbered to 25.

Other parallels in the base Five Star autographs to find are....
  • Gold Parallel/50
  • Emerald Parallel/5
  • Five Star Parallel numbered 1/1
My second pull of the box, the better of the two is a Golden Graphs Purple Parallel numbered to 25 of Nomah. This is a beautiful card. The gold signature is so snazzy.

Other parallels are...
  • Blue Parallel #'d to 20
  • Green Parallel #'d to 15
  • Gold Parallel #'d to 10
  • Orange Parallel #'d to 5
  • Red Parallel #'d 1/1
Other autographs not found in my box are...
Silver Signatures are signed in silver instead of the gold.  These just like the gold come with parallels of:
  • Purple Parallel #'d to 25
  • Blue Parallel #'d to 20
  • Green Parallel #'d to 15
  • Gold Parallel #'d to 10
  • Orange Parallel #'d to 5
  • Red Parallel #'d 1/1
Cut Signatures has the best players of all-time and are all numbered 1/1.

Five Star Silhouetted Batter Logo Patch Autographs is 50 MLB players featuring an MLB Silhouetted Batter Logo Patch and an autograph. Every card is #'d 1/1. I have seen these in previews and they are eye catchy to say the least. Just follow the link I will provide later on.

Five Star Autographed Jumbo Patches is a premier list up to 25 MLB players with each card featuring a Jumbo Jersey Patch piece and an autograph. No card will be #'d higher than 25 and comes with the following parallels,
  • Gold Parallel - #'d to 10
  • Rainbow Parallel - #'d to 5
  • Five Star Parallel - #'d 1/1
Heart of a Champion: is new to Five Star, these are autographs  signed by MLB players who have had memorable Postseason performances and no card will be #'d higher than 25. They also come with Inscription Parallels that are #'d 1/1.

If you are interested, I have put the checklist for the product HERE.

Also, if you are interested, here is a gallery of some of the other pulls you can find, HERE.

Overall, a bit of a tough break for the price. The Sonny Gray seems to go for $10-$20 on eBay and the Nomar goes for roughly $30. Not quite the $125 the box costs. I have seen worse breaks and I have seen better ones and even great ones. Believe me, before I do these reviews, I do tons of research before I post them as reviews can sometimes take me up to 2 hours. I want to have you guys informed as much as I can.

The big positives from this are the cards are beautiful, they are 100% signed on-card and the checklist has some big names on it. If you are a roll the dice type of collector and like to gamble, why not take a swing and try for a hit here. The cards really are stunning. However, if you are more of the bunting type, it's probably best to only get singles or buy into a box break as you just never know what you will get. Once again, it's that way with any product you open and even more so with the higher-end stuff.
GIVEAWAY TIME!
The above card or cards will be featured in a future Topps promo I will be putting together that I am very excited about. Stay tuned for those details soon.
