CARDBOARD REVIEW:2019 Topps Fire Baseball Collectors Box

In my opinion, Topps Fire seems to fly under the radar every year and all of a sudden, boom, it's out.

This year I had almost completely forgotten about it until some collectors started to post about it and watching a break of it that Topps did on their Facebook page.

Once again Topps Fire brings what it usually does, the fire. The unique artsy powerful designs throughout the product. This year I hadn't seen early previews of any of it so it was all new to me and to be honest, it was a pleasant surprise.

Let's check out this Target Exclusive product,

In every Collectors Box of 2019 Topps Fire is 20 packs of 6 cards. You will find two hits per box with one at least being an autograph among parallels and inserts per pack. The boxes currently run  $85 per. You can also find the usual blaster box options as well at $20 per.

BASE:

There are 200 bright and colorful base cards in the base set. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the base card design but it kind of grew on me as I opened the packs.

The base set also includes legends of the game

and rookies.

PARALLELS:

Here is an overall look at the parallels in this product,

Gold Minted, Flame, Orange #d, Green #d, Purple #d to 99, Magenta #d, Onyx SSP and Inferno 1/1.
Flame 1:4 packs

 Green 1:17 odds

 Orange 1:11 packs

Purple 1:33 packs

INSERTS:
This was probably my favorite part of the product. The base cards are okay, the parallels look even better, but the inserts, the inserts are out of this world beautiful. I tried my best to capture them in a bright light to showcase what they appear in person as.

Maximum Velocity falls 1:14 packs and has 15 cards to collect

Flame Throwers fall 1:14 packs and has 15 cards to collect in the set

Fire Up 1:14 packs and has 15 cards to collect

En Fuego falls 1:8 packs with 25 cards in the set to collect

Smoke and Mirrors has 15 cards to collect in the set

Lasting Legacies. By far my favorite of the group. Great looking card and layout.  There are 15 cards to collect in the set.

I assume you all by now agree with me about the inserts. Cool huh?

HITS:
Fire Relic green /99 that falls 1:147

 And my one autograph. Bleh.

Other hits you may find that I didn't include are,
  • Fire Autograph Patch
  • Fire Autograph Laundry Tag
  • Fired Up Artist Autographs
  • FlameThrowers Artist Autographs
  • Triple Autograph
  • Dual Autograph
Something new I am adding to my reviews are the pack wrapper odds and NPN address:

Also I am starting to add checklists. See the entire Topps Fire checklist here

OVERALL THOUGHTS: Well, my hits weren't great, they looked good but weren't great. However, the inserts alone made this break worthwhile for me. If you think they look good here, they are twice that in person. There are a lot of insert sets to collect if I was to chase them. I mean, this blogger doesn't have enough projects already does he?

There are also a lot of big hits to find as well, since I didn't get them, you may.

If you want in on a box break for any product, I suggest Midwest Box Breaks as they pull fire!
