I was once into collecting Hallmark ornaments. I would wait til they were marked down after Christmas and scoop up the good ones. I have three copies of the Willie Mays that I got for a dollar and they are worth around $30. I have NY Yankee ones, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Barry Bonds, George Brett just to name a few. The Cooperstown collection are the most collectible and carry the most value.
Do any of you collect these and who do you got?
This year Hallmark is making ornaments of Walter Payton, Michael Oher, Ryan Miller, Willie Mays, Charles Woodson, Hines Ward, and Scott Fujita. Most of them will be available July 14, 2012, but a few won't be released until October 2012.
ReplyDeleteGot this year's Woodson and there's an error on it - his jersey has the Super Bowl XVLI patch on it; the Packers played in XVL.
ReplyDeleteI swear the jersey numbers on the Michael Oher 2012 ornament are switched. The number on the back of the jersey is smaller than the number on the front. Why does Walter have the NFL Equipment logo at the neck of his jersey? His career preceeded that logo. Where's the GSH on his sleeve? Not there. Come on Hallmark; a little proof-reading would go a long way.
