What is the Blogger National? Well, it's a blog-bat-around where you just take one post (or multiple if you so choose) in the next few days and dedicate it to showing off your coolest cards or your most favorite cards or a recent mail day you hadn't posted yet using the blog post title, The Blogger National 2024.

I want you to try to find the cards that are show worthy to you. You know, the dazzling cards that would attract all of the people over to your table (blog).

I know my latest mail day from long time blog reader Grady M would draw a crowd!

Last week I received a box of packed full of blaster boxes that are packed full of cards. If I had a real title for this post it would have been called packed full.

There are 11 blasters in all containing shiny, inserts, parallels and PC cards across multiple sports. It's always a fun dig in.

I will be exploring these boxes while everyone is experiencing The National. This is my National.

Rodney's Cardboard:2023 Certified Black 1/1

Today is a big day! I am showing off my final piece to my 2023 Certified autograph rainbow, the black parallel.

Thanks to my longtime friend Shane from Cheap Wax Wednesday, I was able to add this bad boy to the PC.

I am glad to put one to rest of the 2023 Rodney Hampton blowouts that Panini put out this year. I am still working on the Spectra and the Absolute rainbows. Absolute is only two away while Spectra is four away. Hopefully someday I can finish both up.

Rodney's Cardboard:1996 Fleer Ultra Sensations Rainbow Parallel

I have finally completed another 90's Rodney rainbow.

I have never, ever seen one of these pop up before so when I did not only was I shocked, but I was also very excited.

With being only one, yes one percent of the total print run of Ultra Sensations it makes it very tough to find the Rainbow Parallel for 1996 Ultra Sensations.

I am not sure what the odds are on these but they weren't easy.

There isn't much to these parallels compared to the others in the set. Just a few specs of color mixed in with the golden border.

 

Back of the card is the same as the others in the run. Not even numbered.

Speaking of rainbows, there is another one coming up next Sunday. So come back and check that one out!

Some Giant Adds!

As long as you didn't read my blog post title too fast, you would see that I have some Giant adds recently and not anything related to the Kardashians title you may have seen.

All of today's cards came via trade.

Hall Of Famer Michael Strahan jersey card came via a trade with Shane from Cheap Wax Wednesday fame.

Same with this Ottis Anderson autograph. I should see how many of these I have now.

 

I stared at this Phil Simms autograph for weeks that someone had for trade on Twitter. I wanted to bite, but didn't think I could pull it off...but obviously I did. This is only my second autograph of Simms in my collection.

 

Along with the Simms tagged this Darius Slayton Optic Stars parallel. Really cool looking card.

I was pretty happy about adding these thicc cards. Yes, that may have been a joke bounced off from my opening line for today's post.

Eli's Countdown 1055:2019 National Treasures Treasured Moments

 

The Eli's roll on!

The latest addition has been one I have wanted for five years.

But, prices were too steep and out of my reach.

However, one finally popped up cheap enough and I grabbed it.

My most wanted Eli's are the ones that include either Super Bowl victory because who knows if I will ever see any more Super Bowl wins in my lifetime.

I know you feel me there Giants fans.

Eli's Countdown:2024 Leaf Metal Purple Wave /7

Eli is counting closer to 1100, but we aren't there yet.

Today is the latest addition to my Leaf Metal chase.

I had considered a rainbow chase on these, but there are way too many.

This one is a purple wave.

 

It is numbered to 7. This one I landed cheap even though it's an "eBay 1/1".

There are more Eli to come. I really need to update my TCDB as well with the new ones.

Rodney's Cardboard:2023 Spectra Neon Marble Autograph /4

Rodney's Cardboard is new! I am running out of new Rodney's to show off, but for now, bask in the ambience of them.

I expected more out of these Spectra Rodney's especially the lower numbered ones but so far, they are simply meh. I would expect more out of one numbered to 4.

 

Here is the card back. It's numbered 3/4. This is the only one of these I have seen on the market so it's important to grab this stuff when you can.

There is still more of these I need to chase, the /8 just sold so I missed that one. The 1/1 already disappeared on me as well. The /10 is listed but I can't afford it right now. I guess for now I will be happy with what I have.

Eli's Countdown 1053:2024 Leaf Metal Purple Cracked Iced /5

This is a Purple cracked ice parallel. Looks better in person.

 

These are numbered to 5 so not an easy chase, even though I landed it pretty cheap.

Breakin Wax:2023-24 Prizm Basketball Value Pack

 Hello! Glad to have you back to read today's post.

Today is the second of the two packs that I bought and overpaid for on eBay using a gift card that I earned from Fetch. Details on the Fetch app is at the end of the post and hopefully you will sign up yourself and earn gift cards!

Anyways, this past basketball card season was all about WEMBY WEMBY WEMBY. It was being shoved down our throats and no product screams you need a Wemby from it more than Prizm. Prizm is still the heavy hitter when it comes to base rookie cards. The Wemby I believe for a base rookie still goes for $30-$35. It was up to $100 upon release.

But still, for a base rookie with nothing special about it, it's a good one.

I snagged this Value pack of Prizm hoping to beat the odds and pull one.

The value packs come with 15-cards which isn't much for the $17 I put into it. However, I was impressed that it wasn't just all base cards with a couple parallels.

I pulled a couple of base rookies, not Wemby so have no idea if they are any good.

Also three rookie inserts, not Wemby, but one is a silver.

 

And three Red, White and Blue parallels, not Wemby, but there was a Curry so there's that. Curry was probably the highlight of the pack.

I felt better about this break than I did the Bowman one. But still, rough for the price.

Breakin' Wax:2024 Bowman Value Pack

I don't get to open up much product anymore, so when I get the itch to....well I just still don't. I just don't have the funds available to do so.

So, when I got my latest gift card from saving up my Fetch points, I cashed it in for a eBay gift card like I usually do. 

Typically, I would stretch the money out from that gift card and pick up a few cards for the PC, but the itch to rip struck so I used those funds to grab a couple of things to open from eBay and probably overpaid as well. 

Oh well. Sometimes you just have to splurge, you know what I mean?

One of the packs I am ripping today for the blog, the other I will show off tomorrow.

The first pack I am ripping is 2024 Bowman. Bowman and the Bowman 1st cards of hitters are a staple in my collection. Same with anything with Prizm (oops maybe that's a tip about tomorrow's break)

The bad part is paying $6 for only 12 cards. That's really steep. But, I did it. My hope was to pull a Jasson Dominguez base rookie along with some hitters for Bowman 1sts.

We will kick it off though with my base cards,

Nothing too bad. Finding a Witt in packs is nothing to complain about.

My three rookies. To be honest, I have no idea who these guys are. I haven't been paying a lot of attention to baseball or it's rookie class. All I know is that I didn't get my Dominguez.

 

These were my prospect cards. Not any names I recognize either and I didn't get a single Bowman or Bowman Chrome 1st. Very disappointing.

 

I did land an insert, once again, have no idea who this is, but cool last name.

I don't feel like I did very well in this pack, but maybe you guys in comments will tell me otherwise!

Also, I am looking for the Dominguez rookie and any Bowman and Bowman Chrome 1sts of hitters only from any team. I don't want pitchers.

My First Of 2024

 

Thanks to a RAK on Twitter, I added my first NY Giants rookie autograph of the year!!

The Giants drafted the RB/WR in the 5th round of this year's draft. Knowing that RB Saquon Barkley left, the Giants will have plenty of opportunity for the rookie running back and I am hearing he is looking good in OTA's.

My next goal is to add a Malik Nabers autograph. So far, no luck. But hopefully I can pull one off before the season begins.

Eli's Countdown: Eli #1,052

Today's Eli brings me another step closer to 1100.

I picked up this latest Eli in a Twitter trade. I lost the Twitter @, but I already posted a thank you with this card on there.

 

This is a gold parallel from 2023 Classics featuring Eli and running back great Tiki Barber.

 

The card is numbered to 99.

This is my first and only one of these in the run of these inserts. I wouldn't mind owning a few others and might for my chase to 1100.
