REVIEW:2019 Inception Baseball

2019 Topps Inception is back once again! And once again it’s bringing everything you expect from it.

A artsy approach with it’s design and plenty of autograph material.

I have never personally done well with the product but I have seen many who have.

Let’s take a look if 2019 treated me any better.
In every box of 2019 Topps Inception baseball, there is one pack with 7 cards.  Each box comes with one hit and two parallels and boxes currently run $60.

The base cards go back to a light colored background this year which I think works better and shows less chipping. There are 100 cards In the base set with players of today and tomorrow on the checklist.

The card back features a small write up along with the stats from the 2018 season and their career.

The product has parallels like most products do.

I pulled two non numbered Greens in my break.

Other parallels include, Purple /150, Magenta /99, Red /75, Orange /50, Blue /25,  Inception 1/1 and Printing Plates 1/1.

Now onto my one hit, it was this Dakota Hudson player worn memorabilia auto.

I wanted to point out the player worn part as I haven’t seen much of this from Topps. Hopefully we won’t see a ton of it. That’s Panini’s thing.

Other hits you can find in this product not in my box are,
  • · Base Rookies and Emerging Stars Autographs

  • · Mystery Redemption autograph

  • · Inception Autographs Short Prints

  • · Inceptions Legendary Debut Autographs

  • · Inception Silver Signings

  • · Inceptions Jumbo Patch autographs

  • · Inception Autograph Jumbo Hat Patch

  • · Inception Autograph Laundry Tag

  • · Inceptions Autograph Letter Book

  • · Inception Autograph MLB Logo Book

  • · Inception Autograph Team Logo Patch book
Overall Thoughts: For $60 there isn’t a huge gamble here, but you are banking for a partially decent hit and maybe a good parallel. My box had two unnumbered parallels and not the greatest hit.

With that being said, with every product it’s a gamble. You could end up with a hot box or end up with a cold one or possibly end up even. Each box is different so don’t judge a product by how I did, but by if you like the look, presentation and possibilities. That’s at least how I look at things.

And I think if you based this product on appeal, there is a lot going for it. The designs from base to hits look great. I have seen some images of the booklets and they look superb.

A cheaper way to possibly land a hit in a break like this would be to buy into a box break which I suggest Midwest Box Breaks when you do so.

Please make sure to take a minute out to thank Topps for providing this box for me to review and to be able to add cards to the giveaway on Twitter I am hosting. Please follow me there to enter @SportCardCollec. Also follow Topps on all social media sites and visit their SITE, as well.
