I haven't pulled too many big hits from this product over the years, but maybe this year will be different. Let's check it out!
In every master box of 2019 Finest baseball there are two mini boxes. Each mini box comes with 6 packs and one autograph. Each master box comes with 2 autographs. Master Boxes currently run $110.
The base card set sticks to it's roots with the design and being printed on a chrome stock. There are 100 cards in the base set with a card 101 inclusion of Vlad Guerrero Jr as Topps rushes to get him into the products. I am not sure however if he is an Sp.
The base set is built of stars of today
and stars of tomorrow.
There is also an extended checklist like in years past for the base set. 101 (another one)-125 make up that. These are harder to find than the regular base. Sort of an extra Sp base set.
Now onto my favorite part about Finest, the shiny stuff! Let's take a look at the parallels.
Base refractors
Purple refractor /250
Green Refractor /99
Other parallels that I didn't find but you might include, Blue /150, Gold /50, Orange /25, Red /5, and SuperFractor 1/1.
The inserts may have the following parallels, Gold /50, Red /5, and SuperFractor 1/1.
Finest Firsts
Prized Performers
Blue Chips which is a throwback to old school Finest. This takes it back to 1997 when the subset covered the young studs of the MLB.
Here is a closer look at my favorite insert by far in this years product. I bet the refractors look awesome.
Now onto my pulls. I am not sure I have ever done what happened in this break, but I have seen it for others in other products. Let's see what I am talking about.
Jeff McNeil base auto
Jeff McNeil green auto /99
Yup. Two of the same. Which is fine if it's Mike Trout, but Jeff McNeil? Mets? Ugh.
Other hits not found in my box but could be in yours include,
- Finest Mystery Redemption
- Finest Blue Chips Autographs
- Finest Careers Die-Cut Autographs
- Finest Firsts Autographs
- Finest Origins Autographs
- Prized Performers Autographs
- Finest Originals Buyback Autographs
Value wise, well, this box didn't provide that. Though some have and will as I saw on Twitter from others personal breaks. I guess for me, one Jeff McNeil would have been fine, but finding two, well, not that exciting
Not everyone can afford a hobby box of this, so I suggest a box break which I suggest Midwest Box Breaks when you do so. They pulled some heattttttt from this product already.
Please make sure to take a minute out to thank Topps for providing this box for me to review and to be able to add cards to the giveaway on Twitter I am hosting. Please follow me there to enter @SportCardCollec. Also follow Topps on all social media sites and visit their SITE, as well.
