Breakin Wax:1996 Edge Advantage Football 3-Pack Break

Collectors Edge Advantage football, what can I say, I am in love.

This the first of 5 breaks I have with the packs that I received in a trade a little while back. I think I am going to cover one-a-week over the next 5 weeks to catch these all up. Lot's of fun ahead and some great inserts too. Hope you guys are looking forward to viewing this as much as I am about posting it.

Here we go!

In every pack of 1996 Edge Advantage football is 6 cards.

Those six cards will consist of rookies, veterans and possibly inserts and maybe a piece of football.

The base card design is kinda cool. It's designed like a featured film but instead it's a featured player. The whole product is done this way.  I also like the slight texture the base cards represent as well.

My two rookies in the three packs. I loved watching Mushin and a PC Giants one too!

I also landed 2 inserts of Perfect Play parallels that fall 1:2 packs. Warren Sapp is pretty well known whether for the good or for the bad.

Overall, not complaints here. Two beautiful inserts in three packs and two rookies along with some nice base cards. Once again, 90's busting wins again.

Rookies Galore! Another Grady Mail Day Part 1

Earlier last week, the Twitter world for me was quiet. Then I saw I had a new notification that had the best words I have ever heard....Keep Your Eyes Peeled! Which means, Grady had sent me out another mail day.

What I didn't expect on Thursday when the package arrived, was a 400 ct white box LOADED full of goodies!

So with so many cards and so much show off, I had to break this down to a 5-part series. So make sure you return on a daily basis to view complete awesomeness!

In part 1 of my showcase, I am showing off the rookies from the box. There are tons to show!

Football rookies, mostly defense, but some key ones in Aaron Donald and Ha Ha Clinton Dix!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh my eyes!!! The design is awful, but got some Bowman rookies I didn't have.

 

Some much needed 2015 rookies. Man, I am really going to miss Upper Deck football :(

And to close up Part 1 of this mail day, a Young Gun. Man, I love getting these. I wished all rookie cards were done this way, it would help with their values and make the chase more fun.

A Very Grady Mail Day Part 1 of 4:Football Inserts/Rookies

When I hear the words...."KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED" from reader Grady M I know something exciting is about to be found in my mailbox. And once again, a small flat-rate box PACKED full of goodies arrived. So many goodies that I had to break it down into four blog posts so I hope you will wanna come along for the viewing.

Today's post focuses on football inserts and rookies I found in the package.

It kicks off with with some Fleer Showcase and Fleer Metal cards from Fleer Retro.

Then came more inserts pouring out from the box.

Even some numbered inserts including a Trevor Reilly numbered to 25!

Wouldn't be football additions without some NYG including my first Upper Deck rookie of Landon Collins and a sweet numbered rookie of Mario Manningham. Not to mention, a NEW Andre Williams.

As I kept digging in this box, the football rookies rained..

And it closes up with some 2015 Upper Deck. These were great adds since I don't have a lot of 2015 rookies yet. This lot included Cowboys steal Randy Gregory.
