Rodney's Cardboard: 1995 Pro Line Classic Game Of The Week Redemptions Rodney Hampton/Cortez Kennedy

It's Rodney's Cardboard and it's back on Sport Card Collectors...well Matt's Wonderful Blog Of Hobbies.

Today's card took me awhile to find and add to my collection as it's getting nearly impossible to find any new Rodney's now-a-days. It appears Panini's run with Rodney is over.

Before I picked up this cheap card, I messaged the seller and double checked that this card was not the foil version as I have that one. The foil version looks the same as this card but has foil with the score if that makes any sense to you.

These interactive cards were randomly inserted into packs of 1995 Pro Line. There were 30 cards in the set and the only way to acquire the card below was to be one of the first 2500 participants who submitted 10-20 different game cards with the actual winner of the game. The winners received the second prize which was a complete set of 30 NFL Pro Line winner cards with the final score of the game foil stamped on the card.

Here is the front of the card. Seattle beat the Giants that day, but in 1995 who didn't beat the Giants who finished 5-11 that season.

I may have to think outside the box to continue Rodney's Cardboard every Sunday and maybe even re-visit some of the cards and maybe rainbows I already posted. 

I think I saw a request once for that. So more Rodney to come!

11-Year Blogversary

On March 1st, Sport Card Collectors turned 11 years old. That's right, 11 years. In blogging terms, that is like 85 years. I was too busy to help celebrate the anniversary.

A lot has changed on this blog over the 11 years. Sponsors have come and gone. Views have been up and down. Followers have left and come back and left. Comments have dissipated to maybe one to two a day then somedays more. And my posts have come and gone from fillers to real posts to fillers to posts. It's all been quite the trip and I have enjoyed the journey through the ups and downs.

Even I have come and gone on here with no idea what direction to head with my blogging. With so much changed in both life and in the hobby, there is no definitive direction. Just know I will be blogging sometimes, somewhere.

For today, let's not think about what was, let's enjoy this Sport Card Collectors Day of celebration and a big milestone!

Year Eight, Sport Card Collectors blog grew to 1,595,972 overall views. 8,353 Twitter Followers and 1291 Facebook LIKES before I ended the page. 

Year Nine, Matt's Wonderful Blog Of Hobbies grew to 1,814,262 overall views.  9,763 Twitter Followers and 780 Instagram Followers

Year Ten, Sport Card Collectors grew to 2,029,117 overall views.  10.9K Twitter Followers, 1427 Facebook LIkes and 1095 Instagram Followers

Year Eleven, Sport Card Collectors grew to 2,201,427 overall views.  12.3K Twitter Followers, 1515 Facebook LIkes and 1098 Instagram Followers

The blog dipped some in terms of views over the past year, but that's not surprising for the kind of posts that I put up last year. Hopefully I can improve upon that this upcoming year.
