Kerry's Cardboard:1996 Presidents Reserve Air Force One

It's another football packed Sunday and even though my Giants have played like a 1-star high school team, I am still on board and still rooting for them to win.

I am not a fan of a team tanking for a number one draft pick. I am all about the winning, though I do want a new Quarterback next year. Sorry Daniel Jones, it's time.

If only Kerry Collins was still ready to play, he could have filled in for Jones this season and maybe things would be different. But, that boat has sailed.

At least I still can still add some Kerry's Cardboard.

Randomly inserted in packs at a rate of one in 16, my latest add is from the all-acetate product Presidents Reserve which was a one-year and done product by Collectors Edge.

This 38-card set featured the best of the long ball threats in the league. It's a two-way-view plastic card with some added shine. Each card is individually numbered out of 2,500.

As with most 90's cards, once again, this one shines above anything from today.

This was my first Collins add in awhile, may need to put some focus on him again.

Well, Giants, this Collins shined today, hoping you will as well against Washington.

Let's Talk About Sets Volume 52:More Adds

Sets Talk will take a hiatus after today's post. I don't have any more new set adds in to post about and may find a better way to post them.

Todays' Sets Talk includes set help from @OffBeatAllStars and Burbank Sport Cards Beckett Site (Emmitt Smith at the bottom that I saved 10% off on by using code 15Burbank at checkout).

First I get some Action from Action Packed. Great design, embossing is always a plus as well. But you combine that with the photography and you get an appealing set.

This was only some of the adds thanks to @OffBeatAllStars

Up next, we have some acetate action with 1996 Collectors Edge Presidents Reserve.

This will help some, but a long ways to go with this one. I should have just bought the full 400 card set for $20 instead of this torture chase lol.

And finally....
This Emmitt from Burbank closes me down to just a few left to this set.

I will also finish this post out with an update if you didn't see it on Twitter awhile back, I finally landed the last few cards for my 1995-1996 Flair Hardwood Leaders set. So that one we can finally call complete!

Shaq was the final card I needed and landed with a trade on Twitter. Names forgotten now but gave them a shout out already on Twitter.

A big thanks overall for all of the set help. Hopefully I can update everything soon on here.

Breakin Wax:1996 Collectors Edge President's Reserve Series 1 Pack Break

It seemed only fitting that I post this pack break as my next retro bust from my Jammin JD Sports Cards retro crate with the presidential election just completed.

You won't find any Trump or Hillary in here, just fun clear acetate cards with the biggest names in the NFL.

In every pack of 1996 Collectors Edge Presidents Reserve, you will find yourself 6 acetate cards whether it's base or inserts. Packs on the Jammin JD Sports Cards website run $2.25 each (which is much less than they used to be in 1996) and you can find those HERE.

In order for me to show off their greatness, I put them on a green counter top to show you how the card lays out.

As you can see with the Willie Jackson here, the outside of the card is clear acetate with some gold trim. The inner part is a blue box with a featured player. All acetate.

Let's have some fun with these cards to since the product has the word President in it.

Willie wants to "Catch Your Vote" for his election slogan.

Jason Elam is "Kicking His Way In" as his slogan.

If you vote Jerome, he will offer "Free Bus Rides"

Terry wants to "Run For Your Vote".

Bruce Smith says "Vote For Me Or Else"

Overall, no insert finds but I had fun busting it and posting them. I didn't buy a lot of the product when it came out and it appears the cards I pulled in this break are all new so that's a plus.

Thoughts on today's break welcomed below!
