Eli Manning #1,134-1,144

It's time to roll out some more new Eli Mannings.

This one is another Black Friday that's /50

A nice dual relic with a patch of Daniel Jones to /49

They ate me lucky charms! 1/1 Proof. My first St.Patricks day card.

Another new one of these 2024 Elite cards for my run.

I have never owned one of these before, kinda different.

Rivals!

Now onto some Haunted spooky cards....

(this is a 1/1!!)

And the biggie of the post....

Looks spectacular? Am I right? And it's /25!!

That does it for all of my latest/newest Eli Mannings! I am officially caught up with these posts.

But we all know, more Eli's will be on their way at some point.

Eli Manning #1,133

Another day, another Eli.

Eli Manning #1,133 was acquired because I dig shiny cards and this shiny card is /150. This card is out of Panini's 2024 Black Friday set.

I am not usually one for non-photograph looking base, but I actually think this one is pretty eye catchy so thought I would add it.

Eli Manning #1,132

The Eli's have been slowly coming in as I am creeping towards my ultimate goal, which is 1,500. Though I plan to keep going from there, it's just a goal I want to reach first.

My latest add was a cheap one and when I can add a cheap game used relic, I will. Especially since they don't make game used football relics anymore. We don't even know who or what wears them now.

I hope to keep adding to my Eli relic collection. Maybe this one puts me at a milestone, I have no idea. I might have to look into that.

Eli's Countdown 1055:2019 National Treasures Treasured Moments

The Eli's roll on!

The latest addition has been one I have wanted for five years.

But, prices were too steep and out of my reach.

However, one finally popped up cheap enough and I grabbed it.

My most wanted Eli's are the ones that include either Super Bowl victory because who knows if I will ever see any more Super Bowl wins in my lifetime.

I know you feel me there Giants fans.

Eli's Countdown:2024 Leaf Metal Purple Wave /7

Eli is counting closer to 1100, but we aren't there yet.

Today is the latest addition to my Leaf Metal chase.

I had considered a rainbow chase on these, but there are way too many.

This one is a purple wave.

It is numbered to 7. This one I landed cheap even though it's an "eBay 1/1".

There are more Eli to come. I really need to update my TCDB as well with the new ones.

Eli's Countdown 1053:2024 Leaf Metal Purple Cracked Iced /5

Eli is counting closer to 1100, but we aren't there yet.

Today is the latest addition to my Leaf Metal chase.

I had considered a rainbow chase on these, but there are way too many.

This is a Purple cracked ice parallel. Looks better in person.

These are numbered to 5 so not an easy chase, even though I landed it pretty cheap.

More to this Eli chase to come!

Single Card Mail Day:2018 Panini XR Mirrored Red /35 Eli Manning/Kyle Lauletta

You are looking at Eli Manning card #1036.

The chase is continuing as I try to get to get to 1100 different and hopefully someday past 1400 so I can become the leader on TCDB. Of course, I don't think the Eli collector on there has updated anything in a long time so he may have even more by now.

I would probably be closer if I counted my duplicates, but I trade those away instead for new ones. None of my collections on TCDB have dupes and I am not sure if the leader for Eli has counted his dupes to towards his 1400.

If any of you have Eli Mannings collecting dust, hit me up! My email is sportcardcollectors@hotmail.com.

Single Card Mail Day:2004 Upper Deck Reflections Focus On The Future Jersey Gold Eli Manning

What do I look for when it comes to adding new Eli Manning cards to my collection?

Other than the obvious of not having the card, I try to look for cards that are shiny, low numbered, jersey/relic/autograph cheap, good photography, Super Bowl related, or simply a deal you cannot pass up.

My latest snag was a combination of a couple of those things.

I snagged this rookie jersey card for $5 almost as quickly as it was posted. You don't find cheap Eli rookie relics often at all so when you can score a deal on one, you don't leave it for someone else to take.

The back of the card has a bigger focus on the event used jersey write up more than the player itself. Seems backwards to me.

On TCDB, this marks my 1,034 Eli Manning card. This still puts me in second place to freakizon who has 1,475 Eli's. My goal is still to surpass him on there and be known as the Eli Manning guy.

If you have any Eli Mannings I don't, check out my collection on TCDB HERE and let me know in comments or email me at sportcardcollectors@hotmail.com with what you have that I don't!

What Is Up With The USPS?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have been dealing with some issues with the postal service recently.

For one, I left my mail in the box for pickup, and the mail lady left it in there for two days before finally grabbing it on day three.

Two, I had two packages lost from eBay.

Three, Two PWE trades I did got lost and one of my envelopes. I have shipped PWE for 12 years without one being lost. NOT A SINGLE ONE.

Fortunately, there are a couple of good updates from the above list.

One of the two PWE trades finally showed up after a month. Which is good, because I traded for cards for a reader's birthday. The second trade and the one I sent haven't shown up....yet.

The other good news is, that one of the eBay cards finally arrived after it was shipped on March 2nd.
Say hello to Eli Manning #1035.

This card is numbered 3/4, so when I found out it was lost, I wasn't pleased because of it's rarity.

Just glad that it finally arrived.

But there still something up with the USPS recently. I don't know what it is, but they keep raising their rates and stamp prices (going up again in July) but giving us even less service and even losing my mail.

In comments today, let me know if you are experiencing any issues with USPS like I am. Curious if it's just a local thing or it expands deeper.

Hopefully my PWE shows up to the person I traded with soon or my Cal Ripken Jr-esque streak will come to a bitter end.

Blog Bat-Around: 5 Best Pack Pulled Hits (Here's Mine)

Matt, great name by the way, over at Diamond Jesters has sent forth a new Blog Bat-Around challenge.

He posted his best 5 pack pulled cards and wanted other bloggers to do the same.

Having been sponsored by sport card companies, I have opened a lot of products over my time with some nice hits in-between. However, for this challenge, I didn't want to count any of the pulls from the card company packs. Instead, I wanted to share hits from my own personal pack openings...back when I could afford to open them.

Most of the time, my own pack openings were complete duds. But, then there were some nice ones.

Let's take a look,

5. Is this /25 Totally Certified Gold Rookie Autograph of Luke Kuechly who was one heck of a linebacker. He will be one of the names forever known in Panthers history.

4. How could a sweet MJ parallel be number 4? Well, I would call it 1D. It was really hard to pick a top one in this top group.

3.I pulled this Deion/Cam dual auto from Panini Black for Christmas one year. Still the best Christmas pack pull I have ever had.

2. I usually don't like opening up retail Allen&Ginter. It's so boring. But, I still do it just to have some. I got lucky in 2020 with this one. One of my all-time favorite Yankee players.

1.Stallone auto. This is probably my best all-time pack pull including company sent products. It's really hard to top Rocky.

Well, that's my Top 5. There are a couple other pulls I could have put at number 5 but felt Luke had earned his spot. The other top cards were hard to beat.

I still have all of these cards except the Luke. I traded that away for something that fit my PC better. The others won't ever leave my hands.

As Matt put at the end of his post and I will add it to mine, let's see what you guys have pulled. I can't wait to read and see them.

Tradin' With Dion Again!

My trading has cut back a lot and definitely has cut back when it comes to trading with bloggers. It's hard to be a football and non-sport collector in a world of baseball card bloggers. Luckily, there are still a few bloggers left that collect or have cards that I need which is what led me to another trade with  Dion's Autograph Collection blog.

It gets harder to land Giants cards I don't have from the past, but last year and this year with my lack of funds, it will make it easier on people to trade with me as I don't have much.

But, sometimes there are exceptions to older cards (by older I am talking early 90's and 2008 til 2021) like this Sterling Shepard Prizm silver.

However, when it comes to Allen and Ginter, I don't mind duplicates.

Or these First Pitch cards. At some point, I really need to see what I need to finish all of the sets for the First Pitch series. I still think this is one of Topps most creative inserts in their base products in a while. Much better than those 86 and 87 reprint inserts I hate.

Thanks again to Dion for the trade and I know we are already working on the next which should be another good one.

Hopefully I can make a few more trades after this one so I can continue to put up new posts.

Johnny’s Generous

With my phone acting up most of the time now, it makes it really hard to comment on a lot of blogs. There are only a select few my phone will let me comment on even as anonymous and one of those blogs is Johnny's Trading Spot.

I am fortunate on that though as Johnny has continued to do his nightly giveaways with his never ending generosity and never ending stamps it seems.

I had gone through a long winless streak until last week where I won twice! I received one of those mail days a few days ago so thought I would show it off here.

First four cards feature two of former Giants QB Dave Brown. I am probably the only person on earth who is still collecting him.

Vintage G-men are always great. Always need help in that area of my Gmen collection.

I have a copy of this card, but don't mind another. 1997 Upper Deck football has one of the best rookie photo shoots ever. Go ahead and look up some of the cards from that set.

Two new cards for the Hilliard collection. This was back when Gold Label was a good product, I don't like the new Topps stuff. You can't ever beat an original.

Another new card for Hilliard and it's a 90's insert, that's my sweet spot.

Eli! I realize more and more how much he meant to the G-men after watching this team since he left.

Thanks again to Johnny for this Giants mail day and for all of his generosity. I know I appreciate it and so does rest of the hobby.

If you haven't yet, check out Johnny's blog with the link I posted above for almost new posts daily. See some great cards and maybe you will win some too!

(by the way, I also put up a new post on Cards Over Coffee you should check out on Monopoly Prizm basketball you can see HERE)

Trending This Week In My Hobby Week 2

Week 2 kicks us off with some movement. Some fell out of the Top 10 and others moved in. Let's check it out.

I consider the Top 5 the most sought after currently.
  1. 90's Inserts ˄˄˄
  2. NY Giants Cards ˄˄˄
  3. Non Sport Cards
  4. 1995 Skybox Impact Countdown To Impact ˄˄˄
  5. Jasson Dominguez Cards↓↓↓
  6. 2023 Topps Aces↓↓↓
  7. 1993-94 Stadium Club Beam Team
  8. 2020 Donruss Football Rookie Sweaters Joe Burrow Dual, Jordan Love Dual ˄˄˄
  9. 2021 Donruss Football Rookie Sweaters ˄˄˄
  10. 2022 Donruss Football Rookie Sweaters ˄˄˄
This week nostalgia is driving high, probably because my birthday is tomorrow and I am getting older so thinking back on some good times is where I am at. The sweater cards I really need to finish up the set chases for.

I am certain some of these will move up and down before next week and maybe even off the list.

In comments today, tell me what is trending in your collecting and what you are seeking the most this week.

Zenith Put The Eli in Eli

I don't what it is about Spellbound or cards with lettering, but I love to collect them.

I did the Elite Spellbound Saquon a couple of years ago, but have had my eye on finishing up the Eli from 2005 Zenith Spellbound for a while now.

I finally landed the E

And the L for a decent price to finish up the trio.

However, what I didn't realize was that my I was a gold parallel until the other two arrived. So yes, it's finished but not really now. I will need to replace the I with a base one in order to satisfy my hobby OCD.

Thoughts on if you collect Spellbound cards and spell out the names welcomed in comments.

Eli's Card: 2006 Donruss Gridiron Gear Next Generation

Today's latest Eli Manning is brought to you by the letters MD. That's because the nice folks over at MD Sports World sent me a little surprise RAK a couple of weeks ago.

It's sometimes challenging to find an Eli Manning that I don't have unless it's numbered or a rookie card.  MD Sports World must have known this as they sent me a need.

I don't know much about this product or insert line, but looking at the fact the product name is in rainbow foil I can only assume this is a parallel as I assume the base version of this card would be basic or basic foil.

The card numbering also may give that away as it's /25.

Thanks again to MD for the Eli card.

Here is a plug-in for them as a thank you to them for sending me the Eli. Their eBay store has tons of fun stuff including some more NY Giants cards I have on my radar.

Thoughts on my latest add is welcomed in comments.
