CAPTION THIS CARD!!

I like to bring this segment back here and there. The fun of reading the comments and captions being the biggest reason or maybe a lack of thought on what to post for the day. Either way, have fun with these!!

Please CAPTION THIS CARD in comments. Keep it clean for the little eyes. If I was to caption this, I would call it,

MMMB:Mail Day's Galore To Kick Off The New Year!

2020 has officially ended, what does that mean for this blog, some changes.

As you have already seen, I changed the face of this blog, name, added some new segments and updated a Top 15 Want List on the left side. I feel this is the best this blog has looked in years and plan to keep it this way. I do hope that you all like it as much as I do.

Today's post is a new segment that I am using to recap all of my mail days instead of doing a few cards at a time per day. It's called Monday Morning Mail Bag or in short, MMMB.

First up, my winnings from The View From The Third Floor who held some Halloween giveaways and I have been slacking in posting of my wonderful prize winning.

My PWE was loaded full of big names of the NFL, most of which I use in my by-player boxes I sort out.

These cards will pad those collections nicely. And no, these aren't the real cards, they are reprints but great looking reprints.

Thanks goes out to The View From The Third Floor for the giveaway and great mail day!

Up next, I have been doing so many PWE trades that I ate through a book+ of stamps for on Twitter.

This trade mail day was from Matt's Cards on Twitter. Great guy and easy to trade with. My favorite card was this Harry Carson from this trade. Cool design and relic.  I didn't have memorabilia card of him before so this is all new to me!

Thanks for the trade Matt's Cards!

My next trade had a bonus surprise card in it.

First up a Danny Dimes rookie year card I didn't have along with a Ximines rookie and Nate Solder Xtra points parallel.

Followed by an Aaron Judge parallel from Stadium Club

Miguel Andujar who I wished had more opportunities with the Yanks.

And Garrett Cooper. Not a name I am familiar with, but I also don't watch baseball as much as I used to either.

The surprise of the package was this Ozzie Newsome relic that will tie in really well with the autograph of him I landed in a Mega Box of Prestige I opened. I have been trying to tie together a relic and autograph of each Hall Of Famer autograph I have. It's a fun challenge. Some I only have the relic for so far such as Tom Brady who may be the most elusive autograph I need and most likely will never land.

Big thanks for the surprise @33CardShop and hope we can trade again!

The final card, an Evan Engram rookie auto "patch" I landed from @anthonyscards
I really like the look of these, well other than the small patch circle. I think a square would have looked better. But overall, solid design and I made sure not to drop it. Sorry, Evan that was a low blow for a Pro Bowl player. (once again I will never get how he made it)

Thanks goes out to @anthonyscards for the trade.

Hope everyone enjoyed this weeks mail day recap, more to come next Monday!

Breakin' Wax:1999 Upper Deck Black Diamond Football Pack

Well, on one of my $25 A Week Challenge posts, I showed off a pack of 1999 Black Diamond Football that I grabbed for $4 and promised to show off it's contents.

Well, it's time folks.

Each pack of 1999 Upper Deck Black Diamond comes with 6 cards and no guarantees, well besides memories and fun. I found my pack for $4 which is roughly what they have been going for today.

Andre Rison. It's hard to picture him as a Chief still

Nice PC card here of Gary Brown

Terrell...that's my Quarterback....get you're popcorn ready..sit ups in the driveway...Owens

I always felt back for Herman and Barry being stuck in Detroit without any hopes of playoffs or more

Kordell  "Slash" Stewart

And a nice find here at 1:4 packs....

Champ Bailey rookie!

A nice pull to end the pack and some solid players in here overall. Also got the PC card in Gary Brown so overall in my opinion a very successful break. And don't worry, I don't plan to flip any of these.

Auction Lot:Guess What Was Paid...

My mother in law, yup, I have spoken a lot about her on the blog this year in helping my cardboard obsession, went to an auction this summer for something she wanted but saw some football cards and knew she would have to wait around to bid on those as well.

What she didn't know was that it would take 3 hours of waiting for her to snag em.

I am not going to tell you what she paid for them as I think it would be fun for you guys to guess. On top of what is pictured, there was also roughly 100 base cards from football as well. It seems the former owner must have been a big 49ers fan.

These cards are all from 1999 and seem to have the Beckett book value on some.

First auto is Ray Barker. I honestly don't remember him.

This card looks great. I miss UD in the game. Garrison Hearst played for the Cardinals before he tore it up in SF.

Steve Young rookie card! So weird to see him in a Buc's uni.

Jeff Garcia who played well in SF before leaving, then bounced around the league till he was 100 years old before he finally retired. Cool on-card rookie auto.

Terrell Owens on another one of these sharp Retro cards. On-card too. Remember those days.

And to finish it up, another Terrell Owens autograph on-card.

So now it's your turn to guess what she paid for them. I won't tell you if she overpaid or got a deal. I will give this a week and then will comment with the answer and you can tell me if she did or didn't

@InWoodWeTrust Trade Mail Day Part 2:Get Your Popcorn Ready

Yesterday I posted the freebie bonuses that @InWoodWeTrust sent for our trade, now I will get to the bread and butter, the main course, the top dog, you get it.

First up, an autograph of Terrell Owens. This caught my eye for a variety of reasons. One, I don't have his auto. Two, it's an auto from my favorite TV Network and three cool design. I even have a fourth, it's unique. Not something all collectors have or could acquire.

And finally the card that started the trade, a 2014 Contenders Rookie Of The Year autograph of Blake Bortles. I have been wanting his auto and now I finally have one. This guy has been quite impressive his first two years playing for a bad Jaguars team. However, they are building an offense to be reckoned with.

A humongous thanks goes out to @InWoodWeTrust for this great trade and I look forward to doing more future trades with you. Also, if anyone else has any Steelers cards that he may be interested in, I back trading with him as you see I got some great stuff.

As always, thoughts on my trade mail days welcomed!!
