Was This Trade Written In The Stars?

Well, here comes the big finale. At least I looked at it that way. @TheBigCat63 had a good amount of non sport relics and autographs up my alley so I took most of them in. We both had a chuckle about that. But, in the past year a lot of my collecting focus has been on adding to my really growing non sport PC. I am trying to mainly stay with relics and autographs but don't mind a numbered insert or two occasionally.

Funny thing is was that we both collect non sport stuff. So I sent a few things his way as well that I preferred to have these instead of.

Let's take a gander all in on my finale mail day from @TheBigCat63.

 

I posted the rest of the relics early on but saved this one for this post. The relic was just too cool not to save for last.

 

Alexis Knapp played in the Pitch Perfect movies which I dug by the way.

 

Gary Owen played in a few movie I rather enjoyed such as Little Man and Daddy Day Care.

    

I may have to Google who he is....

 

I know I am not a Country Music fan, but when I saw that Panini did the autograph silhouettes in the Country Music product, I was going to add what I could of them. This is Kelsey Harmon. The relic used is a bit sparkly. Maybe a dress shirt or dress.

 

Jennifer Nettles x2. One was a beautiful Autograph Silhouette with multi color swatch and the other was the base autograph.

 

I can finally knock Shannon Elizabeth from my autograph want list. The stunning star has been in many movies such as American Pie, Scary Movie and many horror films. This card is also a blue parallel which makes the card even more stunning.

 

And finally, one of the cards I really really wanted from this trade was the LeAnn Rimes autograph. First of all, really cool signature of a someone. She was earned stardom early at age 13. She was also from the 90's which everyone knows is my jam. She also sang with one of my favorite legendary singers Sir Elton John with the hit Written In The Stars in 1999. A song I liked.

Malone And Stockton Team Up Again

Today's post is my second part to my trade mail day from @TheBigCat63 on Twitter. These were the main cards I was chasing when we first discussed doing a trade. One is an obvious need, two more knock off want list needs and the final one was a just in case.

Let's see what I am showcasing this time.

 

This Darnold went along with another Darnold I will be showing off in a few pictures. Everyone says the Giants should have taken him, but I will take the OROY any day still. But, I am a bit concerned about their QB situation going forward.

 

A pair of Want List items taken off! Back in the 90's, not only was I a big time Knicks fan, but the Jazz were my backup team. Loved watching the "Mail Man" deliver and Stockton pass the ball. These two were in-sync and the Jazz were a tough team. But, when you face the Bulls in the title game, only heart ache can be achieved even when Jordan wasn't 100%.

I am glad I finally get to knock these two off of my autograph needs. Still other 90's basketball players to go.

 

I have somewhat found myself in a prospecting phase. I wanted a Darnold and Mayfield autograph all season and finally was at least able to knock one down. Darnold looked sharp at some points this season and dull as a knife in others. Will be interesting to see how his career pans out. At least now I have an autograph of him.

 

Now this NY QB is the bigger headliner. Two-Time Super Bowl MVP and Champion. And now that those lousy Patriots won the Super Bowl again this may help Eli's cause for the Hall Of Fame as he is the only QB so far to beat Brady twice in the big game. He also beat him in the regular season as well at least once. I hope Eli does come back for one more year and give the Giants one more last run.

Well, this is still only part two of our meaty trade. The big bacon, well at least to me, comes tomorrow when I go non sport on ya!

The Big Cat Delivers

I know that one of my resolutions at the beginning of the year was to cut down on trading with so many new people, mostly because last year I had wasted so much time digging stuff out to trade just to have it fall through, but there were some cards I was interested in posted by @TheBigCat63 that I just had to try and get.

So we talked some in messages and out of nowhere bloomed a big time trade. There were cards I got to have first dibs on before they were even posted. Those I am very excited about and most are on this post today but some more coming up over the next few days. Not only was he very nice to talk to, he was very easy to trade with, threw in some great freebies and is new to trading online as well. I am hoping my posts over the next few days will help him gain new trading friends.

He tossed in a ton of Blue parallels for 2015 Americana with roughly half I needed for my set chase. He even tossed in some Freeze Frames for that set as well and all were new.

 

My man Hootie! A Hootie insert along with some numbered parallels from Panini Country Music.

 

Al Jardine relic. I can't say this enough, non sport relics are awesome.

 

David Marks relic. Once again, very cool.

 

Legendary Ginger Rogers. I love these older relics Panini put in Americana. I just wished the product line would make a return.

 

Not sure who Joe Giduice is, but hey, it's a non sport relic. So it works.

 

A pair of Bette Davis relics. And yes, she definitely has Bette Davis eyes.

 

Jane Russell relic. Bright red!

 

Mickey Rourke relic. He has been in about a million films.

 

And finally funny man Kevin Hart. I recently traded for another piece for my collection involving him. That will be posted soon as well.  I know some don't like him but I am a fan and enjoy most of his movies. I still need to see Night School Any of you see it?
