Review: Score Football 2012

This is the best bang for your literal buck product out on the market. You have chances to pull rookie autos, printing plates and rookie variations and it all costs a dollar a pack. Not to mention its loaded with rookies, inserts, and a lot of team players. This is a fun product to bust.

First off, I would like to say thanks to the WONDERFUL people at Panini America for providing us with this box to review. Here are many places you can find Panini America: official site, blog, Twitter, and Facebook.

And as always...we will do some giveaways from this product!

Here is my review:

Boxes: Nice Design. RG3. Can't go wrong with a top rookie on  the package.

Packs: I like the pack design. The colors stand out and Panini wanted to catch your attention with one rookie and one glossy per pack. For $1, they wanted to let you know right off you were guaranteed something in return.

Base: Nice Design. I like the photography that Panini used for this product. The action shots. The border is a little big, but with the action shots it doesn't look bad. Its more like framing the picture.

Another positive thing about Score, players who switched teams in the off season are feature in their new uni's!

My best rookie pull. Andrew Luck. The rookie card design I totally dig as well.

This is a rookie card and a SP parallel as well of Joe Adams

Inserts: Plenty in a box. And plenty to choose from. You get one glossy per pack (thats what the Reuben Randle is). Parallels of Scorecard, Gold Zone and the Red Zone that is numbered (we didn't pull a Red Zone) there is a lot of  inserts that should provide you immediate value and its easy to tell the parallels from the base. We dig the new design for the Hot Rookies. Stands out very well! Sort of reminds you of a wanted poster in a cowboy movie. And Panini's celebration of Score over the years is a great idea and taking designs from the past and putting new photos on the persons old rookie cards such as the Brees 2001 Score design above.

Autographs: Though not a great player, it was nice to see an autograph hit from Score. Our first ever auto hit from the product.

Overall: Nice design. You get 36 rookies (we got 39), 36 glossy and tons of other inserts and 36 packs and 7 cards per pack per box. There is a chance at an auto or a printing plate. This product is a winner. There is no way to lose money when you buy this product. Its fun, its worth every buck and it has a lot to offer. Give Score Football a try.

  1. It looks like they dropped the ball on the real reason people would buy these packs. I don't get it.
