Mail Day Saturday:Dealing And Winning

For the second week in a row, you are well treated to a Mail Day Saturday double feature. I could had posted Part 2 of my Project Pedro Blog mail day, but I will let Part 1 sink in for the week to build up to part 2 next Saturday.

Instead, I am posting another latest trade and a contest win.

Up first, a contest win from Sports Card Info blog. He was hosting a contest for a Leaf Limited auto rookie of Giant Clint Sintim. Sintim's promising career was cut short due to an ACL injury which I know all to familiar. He is currently a LB coach at Delaware.

A big thanks goes out to Sports Card Info for the card and contest. If you haven't checked him out yet, please do. Weekly contests, cool segments and reviews.

Up next, this was technically my first Pete Rose auto card and it came in a trade I did with @Ryansawyer24 a few weeks ago. This one is different than another I just acquired. This ink is black and the photo is different so it goes well with my other one.
A big thanks goes out to @Ryansawyer24 for the trade and I look forward to future deals with you.

Thoughts on either card in this edition of Mail Day Saturday are welcomed in comments!

Mail Day Saturday: Ryan Griffey Bombs Me AGAIN!

Like I stated twice on here already, when it comes to Ken Griffey Jr collectors, we are all family. We want to help each other out when we can and that's exactly what Griffey collector @ryanwsawyer24 on Twitter did for a THIRD TIME!

This time he padded my collection with 12 more new ones making my Griffey Jr total to 1,038 different.

Up first, some numbered Spx and a couple 90's cards I needed.

Crown Royale. Who doesn't love these die-cuts??!!

Some Fleer and one of my favorite designed cards in the Sp holoview.

I feel a SHOCKWAVE whooooooaaaaa. Love it!

Interesting trio put on this card with Lofton and Grissom with Ken, but cool foil card.

I absolutely fell out of my desk chair over this numbered Amazing Greats card. Wow, such a beauty!

And for a extra surprise measure, my first Victor Cruz Crown Royale rookie. This is one I have wanted for awhile. The other is the Plates and Patches rookie auto.

A huge thanks goes out to @ryansawyer24 for this sick mail day. I have a card to mail you at some point so keep an eye out. I really appreciate your generosity and strongly suggest everyone go hunt him down on Twitter and hit that follow button.

Next week I hope to go back to the reader Grady M mail day posts as I still have many of those to do.

Griffey's New Number, 23

Like I stated last week, when it comes to Ken Griffey Jr collectors, we are all family. We want to help each other out when we can and that's exactly what Griffey collector @ryanwsawyer24 on Twitter did.....AGAIN.

In his last mailing, he added my first game used baseball card of The Kid, this time, he added another new memorabilia card I have been looking to have and a lot of other goodies.

I will admit before you read on and view the images that my camera didn't do the best this time capturing the pure goodness here. But, I hope you can see them well anyways.

First up, Star. Very yellow like a bus. I don't own a single one of their cards. Also added my first sportflix of Ken other than a checklist.

A few more oddballs in this group I haven't seen before. It's always good to knock those off the list.

Classic with a design I can only picture would be used in the beginning theme song of Saved By The Bell. Especially the 1990 yellow one.

The Moeller card I really liked. Classic shot of Ken's famous smile.

Pacific card from Ken's milk chocolate bar line. I wonder what those actually tasted like. All I know is companies saw something good and promoted it to no end.

And we reach the memorabilia card I have really been wanting to add, a game used glove. This one is a batting glove. REALLY COOL! Upper Deck was the king of baseball card innovation!

A big thanks goes out to @Ryansawyer24 again for his generosity in helping make my Griffey collection a bit bigger with these 23 new adds. Yes, that's how I got the title for this post haha. I really appreciate it! Go follow him if you haven't yet and see his Griffey journey as he tweets!

A Homerun Of A Mail Day

When it comes to Ken Griffey Jr collectors, we are all family. We want to help each other out when we can and that's exactly what my newest Griffey collector @ryanwsawyer24 on Twitter did.

At first I was only expecting one card, we will get to that shortly. But instead, he set a good handful that turned all out to be new additions. This just shows how weak my Griffey collection is compared to others.

Some fun older Griffey's here. I really dig the Bazooka one. Gotta love the oddballs.

Speaking of oddballs, I had no idea that Tetley tea made any cards. This is a really cool die cut one.

And finally a card I have always wanted and tried to chase down, a 2000 Upper Deck Game Used Baseball card. Upper Deck always put out the best Griffey cards. I really like the subtle stitching on the card. Looks impressive.

With this game used baseball addition, I am just missing game used gloves as my last form of unique memorabilia card from my Griffey collection. I think that may be solved soon.

A huge thanks goes out to @ryanwsawyer24 for his generosity. I really appreciate it. If you are a Griffey fan or like random giveaways, I suggest you give him a follow. Really good dude.
