Another Jasson!

After making my mistake of trading away my Dominguez PC, I have been slowly growing it back. I feel the same way about trading away my Judge one. Maybe I will work on him another time.

Thanks to @tonyaces I have added yet another Dominguez to my collection in our latest mystery trade. I will hit you back soon!

If you have any Jasson kicking around or Judge, I would be happy to trade for ones I don't have.

PACK WARS EPISODE 7

Hello once again! Here is the latest installment of Pack Wars!

We have quite the battle going on today with the battle of Mega Boxes, one by Topps and one by Panini. There can only be one winner so let's check this out.

 VS
It's time to see if the Mega Box of 2021 Bowman I found at Walgreens can take down the Box of 2020 Optic Mega I trade for.

And it all starts now with Optic,
Carolina Blue Parallels

Mythical Inserts, Lindor is a silver Parallel

Alonso Silver

Daza Silver

Bart Silver

Inserts including a couple Gavin Lux and Acuna

Bo Bichette Rated Rookie

And a surprise auto....of a pitcher.

Now the Bowman Mega,
Prospect Parallels. Not too many big names in the mix

Rookies and Prospects I found

Top Players

Best Card?

I know many don't want to hear it or even see it, but Optic has gotta win here right? It had an auto, it had some good player parallels but is unlicensed. I want to hear your thoughts in comments below!

Cardboard Review:2021 Bowman Chrome (Solid Break)

As baseball season has officially come to a close, we are ramping up on the postseason and when it comes to baseball cards, we are ramping up for the future players.

A lot of late season releases for baseball right now are rookie and prospect heavy as a lot of collectors and MLB teams prep for next season.

Bowman Chrome is included as one of those late season releases and I was able to recently open a box to review. Let's see how I did,

Each Master Box of 2021 Bowman Chrome comes with 2 mini boxes. Each mini box comes 6 packs of five cards and 1 autograph. Each hobby master box goes for roughly $240.

BASE:
The base set is 100 cards deep. Has veterans and

rookies such as Akil Baddoo.

There is also a prospect set as well that includes 100 cards and players like
Spencer Torkelson.

PARALLELS:
It's chrome so you know what's coming, lots of refractors!

Base Set Parallels:
Base Refractor /499, Fuchsia/Pink /299, Purple /250, Blue /150, Green /99, Yellow /75, Gold /50, Orange /25, Red /5, and SuperFractor 1/1.

Prospect Parallels:
B&W Mini-Diamond, Shimmer, Base Refractor /499, Speckle /299, Purple /250, Purple Shimmer /250, Fuchsia/Pink /199, Fuchsia/Pink Shimmer /199, Blue /150, Aqua /125, Green /99, Green Shimmer /99, Yellow /75, Gold /50, Gold Shimmer /25, Orange /25, Orange Shimmer /25, Red /5, Red Shimmer /5, Black Shimmer 1/1, and SuperFractor 1/1.
Base Refractor

Purple Shimmer

INSERTS:
Only 4 insert sets to chase and all four are all about the rookies/prospects
Dawn Of Glory has 30 cards to collect and falls 1:12 packs.

Summer Camp (great looking card by the way) has  30 cards and falls 1:6 packs.

40 Man Futures has 30 cards to collect at a going rate of 1:4 packs.

HITS:
This has been the part you have been waiting for! AND NO PITCHER AUTOS!!

Since I don't know much about baseball prospecting, I have to do some research by asking a fellow friend and by Google.
Viandel Pena

And a nice one here in Pedro Leon who is a highly touted prospect.

OVERALL THOUGHTS:
You can never judge the price on a box of a product like this vs what you get until the haul. Some of these prospects you may wait years on. Some not so much. A product like this is for those who have patience, I wouldn't say it's for the every day collector unless you find some retail, jump in a box break or buy team lots.

Let me know your thoughts on my break and Bowman Chrome overall below.

As for the rest of you, check out Cards Over Coffee please and once again add it to your blogrolls and even a add onto your post would be appreciated as well!

Show Me The WAY!

I told myself I wouldn't TACKLE another Super PC as I did with Rodney Hampton, but, once again, fate hit and here I am.

You can now refer to me as the....CHARLES WAY Super Collector.

Why Charles Way? Well, he was another player I enjoyed watching playing in his five seasons with the Giants. He also has a tie in with Rodney as he was a fullback that blocked for Rodney his first few seasons before taking over for Rodney in 1997 when he was out with an injury. Way went on to rush for 696 yards and had over 1,000 all purpose yards that season. He played okay in 1998 but knee injuries forced him to retire in 2000. Once again a player that had potential and who knows how far he could have gone.

Regardless of that, he ended up in my collection and I have come a long ways in the last few months with it.

Also, been keeping track of my collection and stats on TCDB.

Here was the humble beginnings which put me at 8th place to start.

A few adds moved me up to 5th

Then a huge mail day jumped me up to first.

Then more...

And the domination continued....

And finally here is where I am at (since the typing of this four more cards have shown up)

I currently own 31.5% of all Charles Way cards out there. With a minimal 251 to chase, it shouldn't be too hard to find most. However, some are very, very expensive and some others being 90's cards will be even harder to chase down.

Here is a visual of my Way collection thus far,

(class 3 Black Label)

1998 Skybox Rubies)

(in-person auto that came via a friend)

(Way only has 3 autographs total)

(My first and only 1/1!)

(Rave and Super Rave!!!!)

(gold parallel /25)

(my favorite cards of them all, Legacy collections /100)

Pretty solid collection I am proud of so far. Still a WAY to go, but I will show any new additions as I go on. Maybe do a segment similar to the Rodney Hampton one.

If any of you have any Charles Way you don't see above, as the Styx sung, SHOW ME THE WAY!!!
