39

Today I turn 39 years old. Which means I will be in the last year of my 30's which doesn't settle well with me. I still act like I am in my 20's but my body feels like it's 60's. Guess that really does put me in the middle for my age.

Will I get wiser in the next year, hopefully. I really hope I get more wise in the hobby with what I add in for my collection.

As with most of my birthday's I am not expecting anything exciting. It's just how adult birthdays go. Probably stay home, maybe order delivery and watch a movie or something.

I do hope the rest of you have much more exciting plans. If you do, tell me in comments what they are.

And to put some form of sports into today's meaningless filler post, I will say my favorite player who has worn the number 39 is Giants running back Elijhaa Penny who was recently released. Tell me yours in comments as well.

38

38 years ago we were all blessed in this world by the birth of .....well......me.

Yes, it's my birthday and I am feeling more like 83 then 38 some days but it is what it is. I am still loving life and look forward to the blessing of waking up the next day.

My birthday is not what it used to be as we all know as we get older, it gets less and less celebrated. My biggest celebration today may be this short post but I will take it.

I usually post some new pickup for my birthday but I don't have one this year, yet anyways. Instead, I wanted to simply do an age topic as I am always curious how old my readers/other bloggers are and see how close of a guess I am to their age.

So, let's hear it, how old are ya? (I know it's not always polite to ask for an age, you don't have to give it, but will be fun to see if you do!)

Happy Birthday To Me!

Today's March 19th 2020, 37 years ago a great moment in history happened......

I was born.

You don't remember that? Well, check your history books boys and girls it's in there. What? They don't use history books anymore....well....guess your out of luck and will have to take my word.

A lot of people get excited about their birthday every year but since I turned thirty, I really downplay it as much as I can. I am creeping towards forty and my body feels like sixty so getting older is not a celebration. The only celebration I see is the fact I am alive for another day.

Thanks to the good Lord for that blessing.

Every year, my wife usually gets me one great gift to celebrate the day I am alive still. This year was no different as she grabbed me a new autograph of recently retired ALL TIME GREAT GIANT, Eli Manning.

Eli autographs really aren't that expensive for some reason for a future Hall Of Fame, two-time Super Bowl winning QB. I will take as many of them as I can. Eli will always have a special place in my heart because of the two Super Bowls and the person he is. Not to mention, the fact he always remained a Giant.

Back of the card isn't that glorious but tells me it's from 2016 Panini Black Friday.

Thanks again honey!

I don't expect anything else for my birthday other than this. Usually my sister-in-law drops me an eBay gift card but so far as of this typing, nothing has been sent to me yet.

I hope everyone has a great day while I enjoy another piece of Eli Cardboard. Will that become a next blog series on here....hmmmm....

Happy Birthday Tooth Me

Today is my birthday. So thanks in advance if you comment Happy Birthday as it may take me a few days to respond as this won't be my ordinary birthday of doing nothing. This year, today, I am getting my last wisdom tooth pulled out finally. Sadly it was the only day they had available to squeeze me in so I had to take it. I am dreading it big time.

Fortunately, I was able to focus on someone else mouth so far today instead of my own. One of the more famous "mouths" in sports. The one with a gap in their teeth and one that played for the New York Football Giants......

figure out this mouth yet....

he is a Hall Of Famer....

You got it! Mr. Michael Strahan!!
For my birthday this year my wonderful wife picked up my first ever autograph of his. It's a beautiful card with lots of shine. I also really like his signature.

It is also numbered 2/25 so not an easy find but was found at a more than reasonable price.

I am not sure how many days it will take for me to recover from this tooth pull, but I will try to check in time to time on here and Twitter. This tooth is impacted and close to the bone so it won't be the best of times I will be experiencing and depending on what time you are reading this, I may already be done with the procedure.
At least I have this card to stare at for a few days to try and distract me and my wonderful gift from my hobby friends I am posting about tomorrow....
