Tradin' On Up!

To keep the mail days rolling in, I made some small minor trades but bigger impacts for me PC ones. I was also fortunate to find traders that would let me mail PWE so I wouldn't have to find a way to pay for shipping which can usually take weeks to do.

My first trade was with Nachos Grande blog who had some stuff left over from his trade-athon. I had my eye on a couple non sport cards for my collection and was able to work out a trade with him for those.

 

Allen and Ginter Val Kilmer relic. Yeah I do already have one, but what's wrong with another?

 

And a Rancic auto. He was one of the winners from Donald Trumps reality show. He obviously wasn't "fired".

Thanks again to Nachos Grande for these cards. Hope we can do future deals down the road! Especially if you have more non sport.

Up next was a new trader in @Studdard2018 who had posted some sales and a few cards caught my eye so we made a quick trade.

 

Kyle Lauletta numbered relic. I have the base but not this one.

 

Ed Asner relic. A legend to me. He is also the only celebrity I know of to visit locally and put on a one man show. Sadly I missed it but my mother in law got to see it. She gave me a couple pictures of the legend.

 

Gigli relic of a robe I assume was worn by Ben Affleck

 

And finally a swatch from comedy legend Ben Stiller. I do have this one already but I will be more than happy to add one more and more than that.

Final mail day came from a new trader in @SpartanKing1534. I saw this Ron Dayne autograph he had up for sale and since I can't afford to buy cards, I usually initiate trades and luckily for me this one worked out great. I could finally take Dayne off of my NY Giants autograph needs list.

Great looking card and Dayne had a great signature.

Trading With Bubba

The Ginter King as I like to refer to him as, Bubba's Bangin' Batch of Baseball Bits and I recently pulled off a trade to help his set needs over the years while I wanted to pad my non sport PC some more.

I was fortunate enough with two days of digging to put together a small handful of set help. It wasn't as easy as I expected with his needs being so minimal on some products but I got some. In return, I gave him a list of relics I would be interested in and told him just to surprise me.

There are not many surprises in life so once in awhile getting one is fun.

He sent some pretty cool stuff and I was very happy.

Up first, some Jr. The Ginter X one I didn't have.

 

Definitely did not have this Jeter.

Then came the relics.

Gladwell I hadn't heard of til my buddy @Jake1725 told me he was the writer of Outliers.

My next relic was from Anthony Bourdain the chef.

Val Kilmer was my next relic. Been in so much including Psych. Now I have this relic to pair with the Psych autograph I own.

And funny enough, here is a relic I have had in my eBay Watch List for two years, Frank Caliendo. The guy is such a great impressionist. Loved him on Mad TV and when he used to do skits on NFL On Fox. His John Madden cracks me up every time.

 

Hmmm..I see that one of my relics didn't upload. It's a Jonas Brother one. Must have disappeared from my gallery like they have disappeared from the world's spotlight. I really do like the card and will update this post with a picture of it at some point.

KILMERing It! Another Psych Autograph Pickup!

In one of my most glorious additions to my Psych autograph collection yet, I have been biting at the nails to show this one off as I bought it awhile ago.

My Psych autograph collection now welcomes it's newest member, Val Kilmer.

The best thing about this purchase was the price. Most list for about $40, I bid on it and managed to wrangle it out for only $16! A steal for sure!

I have been a fan of Kilmers for awhile. I mean anyone who suits up as Batman (Kilmer took Keaton's spot who turned down the role in Batman Forever), how can I not be? (as I type this I am using the Batman trademark voice)

But he has put out many great films over his lengthy career and made plenty of TV appearances as well. He played a detective in his episode appearance on Psych.

So now gotta ask, what is your favorite film or TV appearance by Val Kilmer?
