BASE CARDS:For a cost efficient product Panini did really well with the design. I like the mix of stars and Legends into the checklist of this product for the base cards. There are rookies from the double rookie class to be found as well. The only thing I didn't like is if you are a new collector or didn't know who the rookies were from the class, the rookie cards do not have the rookie card symbol on them so you have no idea that they are a rookie. If that had been included, there would be no problem with the base cards. I know I have mentioned a lot with too much bordering with other products, but when its done right it doesn't bother me as much. This one has a variety of team colors and its all schemed and not just a plain boring white.

INSERTS: The Knights Lance parallel is kinda cool. The normally silver corners are gold in this parallel and the Knights Lance is inserted at the bottom instead of the word Panini. Makes you think about the blog every time you find one. However, the Heroes of The Hall is my favorite insert with the blend of color and darkness. You get a good amount of inserts. Meaning, not overwhelming and just the right amount.

AUTOGRAPHS: The product states 2 autos per box...ours was shorted an auto and the one we got was a redemption. Ouch. So can't tell you an opinion on the design. Would assume they look like the base cards but with autos.

JERSEY/PATCH CARDS:N/A
OVERALL THOUGHTS: I like the base card design, the inserts look nice too and there isn't an overabundance and the price is within range of most collectors. The big bang could be here with a decent autograph checklist and with rookie cards (double rookie class so there is a lot to get), two autos, parallels and inserts it shouldn't take too much to get your value back. However, this break did not pull it off for us with a missing auto. But, as an update Panini Customer Service is helping get an auto to put in here to replace the missing one so we will post when that shows up. We will also fix the review numbers below as well.

RATINGS:  Bloggers Note: Our ratings are based specifically on the blaster, box or packs we opened and do not express what the overall product could bring. Ratings based on a 1-5. 1 Being the lowest and 5 being the highest.
                Packaging: 4
                Base Design: 4

Have never bought these cards but from reading about them it's a decent product. Good start up for people just getting into collecting. Cheap enough price per box and comes with autograph cards. Can never go wrong with a decent product.

  2. I really like the action shot's that Panini uses in this product, a good use of both old and new players. Overall looks like a nice low cost set that would be great for the set collector people and not really designed for the guys that are just looking for the big hits.

  3. The product looks good. Not to much as far as inserts go when it comes to a Panini product but still not bad. I would prefer more auto/mem cards myself. I like how they seem to have a good mix of the current and old school players as well. All in all not a bad product.

  4. Not bad for the price. Looks better than Hoops in my opinion.

  5. I have never bought this product but based on your review and pics of the product, it looks like a good product. Really cheap and not expensive. Mix of current and vet players is really good. The action shots look great. So overall, I would say this looks like a good product

  6. Cards look nice Im not a fan of the Panini logo being bigger than the player and team names though. Maybe add the team logo and just put the little P for Panini in one of the corners as the back makes it clear that its a Panini product

  7. The choice was between this product and prestige for me and I must honestly say, that I am glad I went with prestige. I'm not a huge fan of the design of the basecards, however the all*panini card looks really awesome to me along with the "spirit of the game" card.

  8. I'm not impressed. Design looks like a rehash of something (Fleer Showcase?) from almost a decade ago. Using same photo cropped for back as front is just lazy. I'd rather this product have 1 auto per box and be $2 a pack instead of $3.

  9. Cards seem suited for young collectors who don't have mobey oozing out their pockets to spend. The design is cool, and theres enough in them to get excited picking up a handful of packs at Target or Walmart!

  10. Ya nothing special here. It looks older and $3 is too much. Should be a $2 product to get for the kids.

  11. I am honestly not a huge fan of Panini BBall products. I don't feel like it compares with the other sports. Which upsets me because I am a huge BBall fan.

  12. I like the look. Too bad you only got 1 Redemption in your box. Could be a fun $70 break!

  13. Nothing too hot here, looks better than hoops though.

  14. I really like what Panini has become in the trading card hobby. This is not a bad value for the $70 price tag but I think that it would be much better at $50 per box. Overall I would have to give this an overall grade of 3.5 out of 5.

  18. Nice design of cards. Love it when they bring in players from the past to help add to PCs.

  19. Wish they would get away from redemptions as the wait for the card is too long. I understand the concerns with maybe pack hunting/searching, but maybe there's a better way?

  21. We need this kind of boxes down here in Indonesia to relieve the "stress" LoL. We dont have case or box supplies and when we get boxes, we go crazy.. :)

  22. Panini has done well with this line of cards, they look good and are an affordable way to introduce someone to the hobby. My son has just started to get into card collecting recently, and he has had a lot of fun opening these packs.
