Breakin' Wax:2021 Mosaic Football Mega Box Part 2

Recently, I acquired two Mega Boxes in a trade I made with my father and was hoping for the best. I can't turn it away for some reason. I thought I had learned my lesson on trading for wax but I haven't. 

At least not for Mosaic football.

Let's hope that box two can match box #1.

Every mega box of 2021 Mosaic football comes with 10 packs of 4 cards. Each box has no guarantees other than some shiny stuff and boxes run $60.

I didn't take a picture of every card from this break and just focused on the inserts and shiny stuff.

Break two wasn't too bad. There wasn't a case hit but that's okay, the Trey Lance is decent.

Breakin' Wax:1995 Stadium Club Football Series 1 Box Break

Last year, my buddy Shane over at Project Pedro blog and myself pulled off our yearly end of the year wax trade where I trade him cards and he trades me some cheaper football card boxes.

My original intent with these boxes was to post them on an all 90's blog I created at Cards To Talk (now if Coffee Over Cards) About. However, with content getting very low on here, I had to sacrifice their box breaks there and move them to here since this blog takes priority over any blogs I create. But, don't worry those of you who followed that other blog, it's not the end of it. I have plans down the road for more 90's content there once we have moved past this Covid-19 situation.

In the meantime, you can continue to enjoy new content here such as today's box break of 1995 Stadium Club football Series 1.

Back in 1995 I opened a lot of this stuff. I loved the design, photography, subsets and especially inserts. I hadn't ever though broke a box of it til now and it was everything I had hoped for.

In every hobby box of 1995 Stadium Club Series 1 football, there are 13 cards per pack an chances at some pretty slick inserts.

 

The base set is 450 cards deep in Series 1 and 2. The design is basic,clean and full of fun photography like you would expect from Stadium Club.

Here are a few of my favorites from the base set for Series 1,

 

Packs also had subsets to chase such as Extreme Corps with it's foil wording

and of course, Draft Pix. You can't have a product without rookie cards. I think those of us who collected in 1995 will always remember the name Ki-Jana Carter.

I pulled three inserts in my box. All three fell 1:24 packs.

This Metalists, chasing the set by the way, is laser-cut next to the featured player.

 

And well be darned, I pulled two Nightmares of the same player. Sigh. These are etched foil awesomeness regardless.

And that doesn't for this break. A couple cool inserts, some unique base cards and a really fun trip back down memory lane. I hope to bust another one of these sometime just for the fun of it.

Let's Talk About Sets Volume 26:1995 Score Red Siege Parallel

Roxanne...you don't have to collect the Red Siege.....Roxanne...collect the Red Siege...collect the Red Siege.

If you thought when we had sets a few volumes ago that the 1995 Score looked good, well, throw some red foil on it and take it to amazing.

Score Red Siege is a 275 parallel set to the base set and I knew when I started it there was a huge battle uphill to complete it.

But, here I am trying to tackle it regardless. I like challenges.

1991 song by Salt-N-Pepa was about a much different topic than I am turning it into. You see, I am staying on topic with cards. Not,well, what they were talking about. This newest segment about the 90's will focus on my set chases (the ones I have already used for a Origins Post or don't plan on using) and new additions to them along with updates on how far I have gotten.

It's time for us to sit down and have that discussion between your parents and you that you tried to avoid. You know, that conversation you have with them about the Flairs and the Pinnacles. Kids, it's time to Talk About Sets.

Last time I told you how great sets will be this time, well, I wasn't kidding. In that order along with the two Sportflix Man2Man I picked up, I also was able to narrow down my 1995 Skybox Premium Paydirt insert chase.

The Paydirt inserts were some of the first inserts I remember pulling in my youth of collecting. I have been wanting this set for nearly 24 years now.

Back To Area 40

During Wes' retirement tour-formerly blogger of Jay Barker Fan blog and now runs a last big hurrah blog in Area 40-he has been unloading packages onto bloggers for goodbye gifts.

My goodbye gift was extraordinary. Packed full of cards I haven't seen, always wanted to own and some that have memories.

Let's take another trip back into the box.

Jamaal Anderson came on out of nowhere in the 90's and his cards were hot. At the time, I didn't have many of his cards. Now that prices have really cooled down, I have added quite a few over time. Let's not forget this guy used to dance the "dirty bird" at a time popular dances were the "in". Now it's over celebratory touchdown dances.

My man TD had his own celebration. I used it back in my childhood when I played backyard football. The TD/Mile High salute!

Some Eli I didn't have. I really miss having Topps as an option for football cards.

Andre Williams numbered card. Loving the blue on blue. I have been adding quite a few cards to that PC recently.

Numbered Tiki. Can't figure out which parallel this is but it's numbered.

Love this guy! Not always his personality, but the player, yes. Love his passion, love his hands and love his speed. But those embarrassing moments really irk me. I hope he has matured more and also hoping under new administration he will be cut off from his antics.

LT! Gotta be one of the greatest Giants ever.

Two new Strahans. Looking at this Stadium Club card it just makes me miss Topps again. Love that photography.

Bomar never panned out but Pascoe played a role on some in some of the Giants wins over the years.

And we finish it up with Jerell Adams. This guy has the height and speed, question is, can he make the team where this is a ton of TE depth.
