OCTOBER'S CONTEST WINNER!

Well, this MLB contest started in April and now ended in October. On an average week, we got roughly 30 participants. On the final week, that number was narrowed down to three. These were the three best of all of the months and it was no surprise when it came down to the three who won more than once in this contest. The fun part for me was, pitting them against each other to pick the winner of the Dodger/Cardinal series to see who is the champ among champs. Now I know.

In the final week, only two of the participants chose the Cardinals to win eliminating the biggest winner of these monthly contests in Scott N. Congrats again to Scott on his many wins. This left Dennis and
mrblu1976@aol.com. They both didn't choose the number of games right, but one was closer than the other. So it has been my pleasure to host this contest with BCW and now it's my pleasure to announce the BCW-Sport Card Collectors World Series Champion who will be taking home this:

Congrats Dennis! You snuck out a win right at the end by choosing the series to go 5 games when your opponent chose 1 more. You were the closest to the right amount of games breaking the tie breaker. OCTOBER CONTEST FINAL ENTRY

Well, our 6 contestants went to a quick 3 because of a huge blowout by the Orioles .Do you know what that means now? That means we are on to the next chapter of this contest. The final one.

Since April, this contest has handed out many prizes. There has been three winners a month and now all of a sudden we have three contestants. What are the odds? However, the one big difference is, only one can take home this months prize lot!!

To mix things up to end this contest, instead of picking ONE game to win or lose, you will pick a series. A good series at that.

Here is what you need to do:
Pick the winner of this series: STL Cardinals and LA Dodgers
Pick how many games the series will go (Tiebreaker 1)
Pick the total runs in the final game of the series. (Tiebreaker 2)

Entries are due by 6:30 pm e.t. on  Friday, October 3rd 2014

If for some odd reason there is a tie, we will move onto another game or series.

OCTOBER CONTEST FINALE!

As the saying goes....ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END. This contest fits that bill.

This contest started way back in April with a good amount of participants before dropping off towards the end. However, for this month, there are only 18 of you allowed to enter the GRAND FINALE! If you don't know if you can enter or not, please check this LIST. If you're name isn't on there, PLEASE DON'T ENTER!

Before I explain how to enter this contest, let's check out the prizes:

Now onto how to enter. This is the World Series of this contest so there will only be one winner who takes home all of the prizes above. Each day I will post a game, most likely due that night, and all you have to do is pick the winner. If you get the game right, you move onto the next day. You get it wrong, well, you are in the playoffs, so you are out and further eliminated from this contest. I want to see who is the champ among champions!

Each day I will post the next game along with the remaining names who can enter. Once we have it narrowed down to 5 or less names or have reached the World Series, the contest will change for more of a challenging situation. IF, for any reason we only have one person remaining by picking winners, well, obviously that person wins.

The first game will be up any minute so get your picks in. If you miss a game, it counts as a forfeit and loss so you will be eliminated. So make sure you pay attention by either subscribing to the blog, checking in daily (I will try to get the next game up first thing in the morning) or following me on Facebook and/or Twitter.

October Contest Particpants!

Well, here it is. The list. If you are on this list you are in great company. This means you will get to participate in the monthly contest finale in October! If your name is not on this list, thanks for participating. There are plenty more contests to come!

I don't want this past to drag on with me rambling, so let's get to the good stuff! The entrants!
