Winners Of The SOA /10 Giveaway

Well, I gotta admit, I was a bit surprised that ONLY 8 people entered a contest for a limited numbered card. These sell for more than some of the autographs and wardrobe cards on eBay so I thought I was upping the ante, guess not. But, this just gives everyone a 1:8 chance of winning. Because we had such little turnout, I will only be choosing two winners.

So here is how the random went:

There were 8 items in your list. Here they are in random order:

1. Mike
2. Scott N.
3. Matthew Scott
4. RAZ
5. @IronMan1833
6. GRADY M.
7. Matthew Chrisman
8. mary

REVIEW:Sons Of Anarchy Seasons 6&7 (GIVEAWAY #d9/10!!)

To capture and remember the final two seasons of one of the most popular shows on television, it would take a lot of binge watching. But, if your short on time and want to just have those images bring you back, well, that's where these Cryptozoic Sons Of Anarchy Seasons 6&7 trading cards come into play.

How else can you remember Jax struggling to hold SAMCRO together, the shooting at the Catholic school and whose guns that were involved. Jax and Gemma scene in the garden and many other memorable moments of the Teller-Morrow family of Charming, California. Of course you can't forget the other members of Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original (SAMCRO), their families, various Charming townspeople, allied and rival gangs, associates, and law agencies that blends the show all together.

In every box of Cryptozoic's Sons Of Anarchy Seasons 6&7, you get 24 packs with 5 cards per pack. Boxes run about $65 and come with 2 hits per box. Sometimes you will find a bonus hit as well.

The base cards provide cinematic magic from the final two seasons of the show and build up to a 63-card set. The base cards are full color photography each with a short caption to sum it up.

Inserts seem to fall about one-per-pack, but there are many types of them. The top two are temporary tattoos that fall 1:16 packs. The bottom left card is Gallery and the bottom right is Mug Shots. Both of those fall 1:4 packs.

There are base card parallels to. Silver foil parallels that fall 1:12 packs and cover inserts as well. Stay tuned for the Red Foil parallel that falls 1:120 packs and are numbered to 10.

I really like this concept. These are Brawl inserts that fall 1:4 packs. Each captures a piece of the big brawl....

When you collect all 9, well, you get the full picture!

!:24 packs is where you will find authentic wardrobe cards that were worn by one of the actors. I fond Happy Lowman's in this box.

And you can also find on-card autographs that also fall 1:24 packs or one per box. I pulled one of the more "endearing" characters on the show in Venus Van Dam played by Walton Goggins.

Here are the list of signers for Seasons 6&7 including some of the big ones:

Dayton Callie as Wayne Unser
Robin Weigert as Ally Lowen
Rockmond Dunbar as Eli Roosevelt
Michael Marisi Ornstein as Chuck Marstein
Winter Ave Zoli as Lyla Winston
Katey Sagal as Gemma Teller Morrow
Kim Coates as Alex "Tig" Trager
Drea de Matteo as Wendy Case
Theo Rossi as Juan Carlos "Juice" Ortiz
Walton Goggins as Venus Van Dam
Kim Dickens as Colette Jane
David Labrava as Happy Lowman
Charlie Hunnam as Jackson "Jax" Teller
Marilyn Manson as Ron Tully

Overall, a solid product and decent price for what you can pull. Good autograph checklist as well with all of the stars. Not to mention, they are all on-card. Also, like with any Cryptozoic product, there are surprises in every pack. The product also has printing plates (1:192 packs) and cool looking replica patch cards (1:192 packs).

Now onto the aforementioned Red foil, instead of giving away an autograph or wardrobe card, I wanted to giveaway something a bit more rare, one of the red foils I acquired awhile back that are numbered to 10 and really tough to pull. There are a few listed on eBay with decent asking prices.

This one is 9/10.

Here is how the prizes break down for this one.

1st place, 1st on the random list, will win this /10 card! Boo yah!
2nd place, 2nd on the random list, will win a handful of inserts and a possible third winner would as well.

#SundayFunday Contest # 2:Sons Of Anarchy Inserts

Another poor turnout last week for my first ever #SundayFunday contest only hauling in 14 entries. WE HAVE GOT TO DO BETTER THAN THAT or I won't feel these are worth my time. Let's aim for 15-20 this week.

With so much generated interest around the #SundayFunday giveaways and all of the generosity I have seen and been given recently, I decided to join in on the fun. So for the next 4-5 weeks I plan on joining in on the #SundayFunday fun. Mine however, will have contests hosted on here and more than one day to enter.

For my second Sunday, I thought a nice mixed insert lot including a parallel # to 25 of a non-sport may help mix things up a bit. Let's see!

Here are the goods:

And now onto the easy entry.

1. ONLY OPEN TO U.S. RESIDENTS OR TO ANYONE WHO HAS A SHIPPING ADDRESS IN THE U.S. I cannot afford to ship outside the U.S.
2. THE CARDS WILL BE SHIPPED IN A PWE. Sport Card Collectors blog will not be held responsible for lost, stolen or damaged mail. The cards are being shipped to you with the hope they arrive safely. I have only ever lost one package so the chances of arrival are high. If the package is lost, stolen or damaged, I may replace them with something else. But, don't always count on that and try pulling the "they were lost" thing. Sport Card Collectors will make the final decision. Failure to follow any of the rules, you will be asked to forfeit your prize.
3. To enter, just tell me YOUR FAVORITE character on Sons Of Anarchy
4. Since this is a #SundayFunday contest, this contest will start today May 17th 2015 and end next Sunday, May 24th 2015, at 12:00 am e.t. where a winner will be announced before or around 10am e.t. that morning. That way a full Sunday to Sunday. There will be a random 7 times to pick the winner.
5. The winner will have ONE WEEK to claim their prize once they are chosen or they will forfeit it and it will be re-given away..

Most importantly, good luck and have fun!! Please RT this on Twitter and Share on Facebook as well.

Breakin Wax: Sons Of Anarchy Seasons 4&5

An amazing show that has recently concluded in December 2014, Sons Of Anarchy gave you thrills, chills and emotional moments that led up to one great finale. However, we are not going to discuss any of that yet. We are going to celebrate this weeks release of Seasons 4&5 from Cryptozoic first.

If you haven't ever seen the show or are curious with what it's about, here is a quick summary without spilling all the beans.

The storyline is based around single father Jax Teller is loyal to his outlaw motorcycle club but starts to question the group's lawlessness and himself. The motorcycle club does both legal and illegal businesses and protects the town of Charming, California keeping drug dealers away. But, its activities also include a thriving illegal arms business.

Now that you have the quick summary of what this epic show was about, let's get onto showing off the goods!

There are 24 packs per box with 5 cards per pack. Each box comes with 2 hits, one wardrobe card and one on-card autograph. Each box will roughly run you around $80.

The base cards are high glossed and have some of the key scenes from seasons 4&5 with a quick scene recap on the back of each card. There are 72 cards in the base card set and should complete one in a box.

There are two insert sets to find in the product. First one here is Gallery. I like the up-close and personal photos. Captures the emotion of the show. You will find these 1:4 packs. I seemed to hit a few more than that.

The other insert set is Character Bios. These fall 1:4 and are exactly as their title, Character Bios. Each of these photographs are done in black and white adding a nice offset to the product

Up next is a temporary tattoo. Obviously these are cool and can make you feel like you are part of their club. These fall 1:24 packs.

There is also rainbow foil parallels. I didn't see any odds on them, it does state 1:12 packs on inserts, but these are numbered to 25. I put the base card in comparison to the parallel.

My wardrobe, 1:24 packs, is of Alex Trager who is Vice President and the former Sergeant-at-Arms of the club.

And my autograph, 1:24 packs, is of Dawn Trager who is Alex's daugther. So I guess you can say I got father/daughter combo hits in this box.

And to my surprise, a bonus hit in the box! A replica patch card that falls at a tough rate of 1:192 packs! These look really cool!

Overall, I felt pretty good about this break. Good amount of inserts, two hits not counting the bonus, decent price point and memories from those two great seasons. I look forward to the next release.

You can find more info and more images of the product right HERE on the Cryptozoic blog. View away!
