Redemption Cards......

We had posted these famous 2 words on our Facebook page...now we want to post them on here as well and break them down a little better.

In our opinion, these really hurt the hobby. But on the other hand, you kinda need them or they would hurt the hobby. Seems like a double sided story.

If companies could not get a player to sign on time and decided instead to replace that player with someone else instead of inserting a redemption...it could be exchanging someone like Brett Favre who didn't have the time yet to sign for the product for a Matt Leinert who did. And in my opinion, who would want that. Not unless you are a fan of Leinert and don't like Favre.

But, companies need to figure out a better way to do redemptions. Some ideas could be giving us an option when we pull one whether we want to wait for the card or immediately asking for it to be replaced by something of EQUAL value. And not having us wait around for days, months and sometimes years! I have pulled plenty of redemptions of players that I don't want and waiting around for them at least 4 months is not worth it. I would rather have it replaced by a player from my favorite team of equal value. Maybe for some of those cards it would take two cards to equal the value. They have to help us out. We are the reason why they have a job.

Some of you might agree with this and some might not. We want to hear your thoughts as well.
