Let's Talk About Sets Volume 60: 1991 Pro Set MusiCards

60 times we have had the sets talk on here now. I hope all 60 were as good for you as they were for me.

Today, I put my focus on a set I have been wanting to finish for years but have pushed off to the side for way too long.

It's a set that I knew I had most of, but knew I was missing a few pieces. What I didn't know was that there was an entire second series I have no cards of so I will be wanting those as well.

Everyone who knows me knows how much music means to me, especially music of the 80's and 90's. When I discovered the 1991 Pro Set MusiCards I knew I would have to chase the set. The checklist was loaded with singers I grew up listening to, so it was an easy connect the dots situation.

(there are a few ladies here I would have the sets talk with)

Here is what remains of my needs to finally finish up the Series 1 at least. Still need all of the Series 2 cards.

Any and all help on this one is welcomed! You can message me on Twitter at @collec_sport or email me at sportcardcollectors@hotmail.com if you have any help for me.

Thanks again for checking out today's post and hope I hear from you about any set help for me.

Rodney's Cardboard:1991 Topps Baseball Error Back

1991 Topps baseball was loaded with error cards. From glow backs to wrong stats, to 1990 football backs. Huh? Yup, some of these cards featured football card backs from the 1990 Topps set.

One of the cards I have been chasing for a few years once I found out it existed was the Juan Samuel base.

Why? Well, you must have put it together by now.

Yup, Juan Samuel has a Rodney Hampton rookie card back.

I was finally able to land this one for my collection thanks to a trade with @imoMitchCards who found a bunch of these wrong back cards at a thrift store and thought he had this version for me.

Thoughts on today's card welcomed in comments.

Rodney's Cardboard:1991 Topps Baseball Error Back

Welcome back to the first Rodney's Cardboard in a long time. Also, welcome to Rodney's Cardboards new home. If you haven't followed or added this blog to your blogroll yet, please do so.

Rodney's Cardboard:1991 Pinnacle Promo Panels

There not a lot of early 90's cards for my Hampton PC I lack, but one of them finally popped up. The 1991 Pinnacle Promo Panels.

This is an uncut sheet basically in smaller form. These are 4 regular size cards, same ones you would find of 1991 Pinnacle, all grouped into one. Of course one player, or star, to me stands out above the rest on here.

The backs remain the same as well.

Thanks goes out to my buddy Shane of Cheap Wax Wednesday fame for the trade on this one.

More Sundays to come and more new Rodney pickups to show off!

25 Days Of Christmas Day 15:Frosty The Snowman

Well folks, only 10 days until Christmas and this blogger is getting giddy.

Today's post is about an item that gets me just as giddy every year I put it out.

It's my wife's, Mr. Snowman. She has had it since her youth and every year we have been together we have put it out on the counter. I used to keep it in the window back when it had a lightbulb, but since that piece went missing, we just keep it unlit on the counter.

Funny but not so funny story about this one, I tried replacing the light inside once with a lightbulb cord I stole from my Halloween pumpkin. The only problem was, the lightbulb didn't fit through the back like the cord that actually goes to the snowman and had to go underneath him instead. So picture plastic with a hot lightbulb on it on the inside...let's just say I am glad my wife has the brains though I was trying to be sweet. Fortunately, didn't burn the house down and only melted some of the snowman on the bottom.

Today's card is from 1991 Parkhurst. I don't always show the back of these cards I feature on here but I think today's was very important by the message on the back.

I hope it hits you in the feels as well.

Have you ever helped anyone during this time of year? Buy a family gifts? Work at a soup kitchen? Donate your time elsewhere?

Rodney's Cardboard:1991 Action Packed National Series Team Set

I am always trying to grab the most unique pieces for my Rodney Hampton PC especially since I am dwindling down on what I can find right now.

Recently a Team Set from the National popped up and I was the only bidder....big surprise there huh?

I also liked this because of the sealed display. That was really the selling point. If it had just been a team lot, I probably wouldn't have bothered as the cards look the same as they do in packs.
Here is the front. My boy Rodney up at the top.

Here is the back of the item.

It's a pretty cool item overall, just gotta find a safe place to store it. That's the problem with storing some of this stuff that's oversized. Hopefully one day I will have a shrine of Rodney in my man cave.
