Ramming My Mail Box

I was recently in a very affordable random team mixed box break from my friends over at Midwest Box Breaks. I was hoping to hit it big and land a top notch autograph hit hopefully from a legend I need. Well, luck wasn't fully my way as usual when I am in a break. I landed the Rams, which is the second time I have done so in four breaks, and missed out on a few great hits from other teams in the break.

But, at least I didn't go home with just base like last time.

2019 Elite. My first look at the product. Doesn't look to shabby as Panini stuck to the basics here with the base card design.

Todd Gurley who I hope is healthy and will continue his dominant career. I think he may have made a difference in last years Super Bowl and the Rams wouldn't have had to throw so much which is the real reason they lost that game.

Speaking of Gurley, nice three color patch I landed from 2016 Black Gold. That product looks superb!

Big thanks goes out to Ben over at Midwest Box Breaks for the spot.

If you haven't checked them out yet, please do. Very trusted and cares about the customer. See what they have available for breaks, HERE.

A Generous Mail Day From SCA

Last week I was tagged in a Twitter post to watch a video break of 2016 Absolute football that Sports Card Album had opened. I have known Sports Card Album for awhile now since I started blogging and he was running the Busting Packs Blog and from the Beckett forums as well.

So well over 4 years.

Well, anyways, the card that was pulled in the break was this beautiful Odell Beckham Jr.
Which I had commented that it was and said it would be awesome PC card to add.

He then asked for my info as he wanted to see the card be in a true fans hand which I was blown back by and this card arrived earlier this week along with a few other sweet surprises.

Here are those other surprises.

A Triple Threats jersey card of three top WR rookies for my rookie card PC.

Then the Top pick of the 2016 draft jersey card. I didn't own any of him either. So a nice addition to tuck away in my rookie card collection. Hopefully we will see him soon.

And finally, a sick Griffey jersey card I didn't have for my Griffey PC. Marking Griffey Jr number 836 and maybe jersey card # 10. I don't have many memorabilia cards of him.

A huge, huge thank you is deserved to Sports Card Album. You sir are very generous and I for one would suggest anyone who isn't following you on Twitter to do so and to check out your site and take advantage of all Sports Card Album has to offer.

Nuttin But The Hits:2016 Score Football Jumbo Hobby Box

A couple of days ago, I posted about my vacation where it's my only time of the year to get to an LCS, and how I made a second appearance. Luckily as I said in the last post, I was good friends with the shop owners and they were able to give me a solid deal on a hobby jumbo box of Score. Cause one taste of it wasn't enough.

First off, my key rookies. I am still lacking a Wentz rookie this year. Glad to get my first Adams rookie for the Giants. Heard he could be a beast.

My first insert was a unique one. It's one of the Pepsi Rookie Of The Weeks and I got a great one in Jameis Winston.

Up next, Jared Goff RED NFL Draft card and a /20 parallel of Chris Ivory Franchise insert.

Tons of colored parallels in Score this year. All of these are /99.

Artist Proof parallels numbered to 50.

More parallels

And more. The Red Zone of Stills is /35

And now the hits. I was really impressed to get 4 autographs and no jersey cards. I was told this is a common thing in this years Score. My first two autographs had me very excited. I just wished I could predict the future so I wouldn't had already bought an Score Apple auto, but I guess two doesn't hurt.

Paul Perkins is an autograph I had wanted. Getting two out of three of the Giants autos I really wanted was awesome.

Heard this guy is supposed to be good. But, I will admit, I am not a fan of pulling the defense guys. I don't mind if they are Giants ones, but not other teams. Hopefully this guy will be good to make this pull worthwhile.

And to end it, my 2nd first round pick auto of the box in Washington's Doctson who seems to make an appearance every time I open a pack. This one is /50

Overall, a very solid break and one that I was very happy with. This years Score is just as good as 2013's except this is a better class. The combo of Hot Rookies parallels added to Score is a significant improvement over the bland parallels that are usually included. I hope that Panini improves on every NFL product like this one especially now being the only NFL licensed cards out on the market.

What are your guys thoughts on this break and 2016 Score?
