It's that time of the month, well, not that, but it is for my Burbank Snags of the month!

Sometimes when I am looking on Burbank, I don't search for cards. Sometimes I find them searching for me. 

For example, today's mail day. All I did was type in Ex and the search came up with a ton of options which led to these Bright Lights cards that just glared at me. I needed them and I am so happy I grabbed them as they are really cool.

The cards feature a neon yellow/green acetate background with a full colored player in the forefront.

As you can see, the whole card is plastic.

I grabbed these three players as they were the cheapest options to buy on there but I may have to go back and see if they have more.

Let's Talk About Sets Volume 51:1997 Pinnacle Inscriptions

With only 50 cards in the base set, this one shouldn't be too hard to chase. What I enjoy most about this base set is all of the dufex technology.

 

This set would bring back a lot of memories to complete.

I remember the gas station owner I used to buy cards from, was my hobby shop, set aside an entire box of the product for me to grab a pack or two at a time when I could afford to. On top of that, he also gave 10% off the entire box.

Autograph Of The Week:Mark Brunell

The autograph this week is a common one I have and been adding to all year.

However, this one is a really special one which makes it why it's being posted on Autograph Of The Week instead of being featured in a normal post.

This Mark Brunell I have been watching for over a year and the seller finally put it up for a cheap auction and I was the only bidder.

It's a 1997 Collectors Edge 22KT signed autograph helmet.

I had no idea the concept of helmet cards were used that early, well late, 90's. I always thought it was a 2000's idea but I have come to realize that more and more stuff from the 90's I didn't know existed.

Also realized that this cards is a shadowbox (also note the on card auto). The card features a game used helmet swatch and has the 22K gold foil.

It's another great autograph, 90's PC add and Brunell side PC add.

The odds of pulling one of these was 1:350 packs so not an easy find. There are 5 others to collect. Wonder if I will chase more..... (really not sure as they don't look cheap and not all 6 are to be found) But being this thick I can only imagine if pack searchers existed in the 90's this would be an easy find.

Next week another new autograph, this time we head back to the world of non sports which is what this series is really about. I have three new ones incoming so will have to decide which one.

Breakin' Wax:1995 Stadium Club Football Series 2 Box Break

Not too long ago I showed off a box of 1995 Stadium Club football Series 1 on here I busted thanks to my buddy Shane. Now it's time to show off how Series 2 went which I felt was a better break between the two.

So let's check it out!

Unlike Series 1, I went retail for Series 2. There are 13 cards per pack and once again some fun inserts to chase.

The base cards for the second series look the same and are still apart of the 450 card set.

The photography is still stunning as you will see with this Swann card and some more following it

 

Unlike Series 1 with the Xtreme Corps, Series 2 had Expansion Team cards from the Panthers and Jaguars.

Now onto my inserts

Ground Attack fell 1:14 packs. Another set I am seeking by the way. They feature volcanoes, lava and foil, can't go wrong.

MVP falls 1:18 packs. I pulled two of the best with Emmitt and Rice with the laser cut.

 

And this almost stuck to the back of another card Power Surge card Michael Irvin that fell 1:28 packs. And yes, another set chase.

Like I said box number 2 was better than box 1. Better looking inserts, bigger names pulled.

There will be more boxes coming up soon to look forward to such as 1995 Zenith football, 1996 NFL Lasers, and 1995 Pro Line Classic Series 2.

Johnny Sends Lots Of Brunell

Once again, pulled off another blind trade, still need to send a return on, with with Johnny's Trading Spot.

Aaaaaannnd once again, he sent a bunch of surprises which turned out to be a focus on one of my side player PC's, Mark Brunell.

Check out the 10 new autograph additions,

the person who got these signed had a great taste in card choices. A lot of my favorite brands here mixed. Not to mention, a big focus on Mark in a Jags uni. That's when I was the biggest fan of his.

$25 A Week Challenge Week 12:Giants And Prospecting

Yes it's back, back again, $25 a week, chaaaa-llla-enge. Yes, it's back, yes, it's back.

This weeks grabs were really random, just like my thoughts a lot of times, as these listings  just popped up and caught my attention like a pretty girl.

Let's see what my mind was thinking,

I posted the Kerry Collins pickup from this set already, but there are other Giants in this set and being a fan of Super Bowl sets, more about the ones when they win, I grabbed this one and

 

this one for a buck combined. Can't go wrong with that for the Giants PC.

Daniel Jones is the future and I believe in him. Though at times I second guess myself because he is still so young and fresh and Eli was so reliable. But, looking at last season Jones had many bright spots and you could tell Eli's time was closing in the few times he played. I will just miss Eli as well.

Saquon Barkley 2019 silver Optic. I was looking up Saquon cards ending soon and this one had .99 and no bids on it. Well, guess who won it with one bid and .99 cent. That's right, this guy. Saquon again proved to be unbelievable when he came back from injury and still pulled off a 1,000 yard season. I expect so much more next season when he is fully healthy.

I have noticed the last couple of years that Panini Prizm is the "It" factor for football rookie cards much like Topps Chrome was in the 90's. So you know what, I did some "prospecting" and grabbed a few players cheap before I couldn't grab them anymore.

Mercole Hardman played really well in his first year with the Chiefs. He 538 receiving yards, and made the Pro Bowl as a returner with 871 yards. He also had 7 total touchdowns and got to  hoist the Lombardi.

N'Keal Harry is going to eventually be Tom Brady's go-to guy and yes I say Tom returns to the Patriots next season. 6 foot 4 Harry didn't show much on the field last season, mostly because he was injured til November, but showed some signs when he was on the field. Better to grab him up now!

And my final pickup, I watched this Mark Brunell autograph on eBay because it was cheap to begin with. But, when I landed it for $1.75 with an offer I made and $3.99 shipping, it was an absolute yes. It fits both my 90's PC and my Mark Brunell one.

All of these were picked up for less than $15, so you can tell I was bargain hunting and bargain winning.

That left me with $10 leftover this week.  Sometimes you just don't spend it all and isn't always bad thing.
