It's been nearly 2 and a 1/2 years since I had a weekly segment called, Hobby Topic. But, it's now back.

Flipping

With this happening more and more in the hobby, it seemed like an appropriate topic. Do you do it? What are your thoughts on flipping? Do you think the hobby is something that's a great investment to get a big return on? Did you ever collect something hoping that one day you could make a profit out of it? What was it?

Please make sure it's clean for our younger audience.

SI For Kids Cards November 2017

Here is my 12th installment of this series.

I have been collecting SI For Kids cards for year and thought I would share them with you and help you decide if you should pick up the latest issue of SI For Kids for yourself.

Sorry I missed the October version but it didn't really have the normal cards in them. It was an oddball thing that wasn't really worth showing.


Once again I found myself looking for Aaron Judge but came up empty on the card end anyways. How do they not have him in here yet?!?!

This month still pretty solid without Judge. Kareem Hunt who wasn't a household name at first and now has definitely made a name for himself. Other big names like Stanton and Laine find themselves on here as well.

 

Maybe in December , as a Christmas gift, we will find ourselves a Judge card.

Thoughts on this months cards are welcomed below. 

SI For Kids Cards November 2016

Well, as you may or may not know, I subscribe to SI For Kids. Not so much for the articles even though they are fun sometimes, but for the cards. Yes, when you like cards as much as I do, you find many ways to collect. Oddballs that you find in SI For Kids can sometimes be quite valuable as well and I have a stack of at least the last 5 years of them including some hot Golf rookies.

So I thought as a new segment, one of many to come among changes, I would showcase my cards for the month and make a note about any that stand out.

November's is pretty stacked I think. You have Gary Sanchez rookie, possibly the last Larry Fitzgerald SI For Kids card with his retirement soon and the possible Heisman and future Cleveland Brown, Lamar Jackson who has been a nightmare for any defense this season.

If you haven't ever thought about buying an issue before for the cards, I think this month would be a great start.
