Unintentional Rainbow Chase: 2015 Topps Owamagbe Odighizuwa

It's Sunday, 1st of August and I feel Giants football is almost here. I surely can't wait especially after how last season ended.

LET'S GO!

Today is another Unintentional Rainbow Chase this time featuring Owamagbe Odighizuwa who was a third round draft pick of the Giants in the 2015 NFL Draft. He was compared to former Giant DE Justin Tuck. However, injuries his rookie season cut that short and then he started out the following season with a PED and suspension that led to the Giants cutting him. He signed with the Bills but never made the cut.

I ended up with a few cards in his rookie year from Topps.

Here is the 2015 Topps Chrome chase and so far I have,
Base, Refractor,Purple Refractor, Green Refractor, Orange Refractor, Diamond Refractor, Blue Wave Refractor, Pulsar Refractor, STS Camo Refractor /499, BCA Pink Refractor /399, Black Refractor /299, Blue Refractor /199, Sepia Refractor /99, Gold Refractor /50, Red Refractor /25, SuperFractor 1/1, and Printing Plates 1/1

2015 Topps football chase so far,
Base,Purple, Gold /2015, BCA Pink /499, STS Camo /399, 60th Anniversary Red Foil /60 , Platinum 1/1  and Printing Plates 1/1.

Neither chase is very far yet, not sure they will go that far either, but who knows what may come my way. That's how a lot of these chases begin.

Player HITlights: Owamagbe Odighizuwa

Today's featured Player HITlight has a really tough name to spell out without having a card next to you to type it off from.

Owamagbe Odighizuwa, okay I cheated this time and copied and pasted the name from my post title, was a third round pick of the Giants in the 2015 NFL Draft. He was supposed to be that missing pass rushing piece the Giants needed after losing Osi, Tuck and Strahan years prior and was to pair up with JPP.

Well, like a lot of draft picks during that time for the Giants he didn't quite pan out. Injuries took up his rookie season and in 2017 he got caught with PED's by the NFL and shortly after was released by the Giants.

He signed with the Bills in 2018 but didn't last more than a few months of the offseason there.

His NFL career ended with 6 total tackles.

I collected quite a few of his cards and was sent some from other collectors as well,

Contenders Draft rookie auto

Topps Platinum parallel rookie autograph

Topps Platinum rookie autograph

Contenders Cracked Ice rookie autograph

Playbook Rookie Autograph

Prestige rookie autograph

Score Red Zone rookie autograph

Crown Royale Rookie Autograph

Donruss Elite Rookie Autograph

I also have plenty of base and rookies of him as well. Will need to sort them out better to figure out how many I have total of him.

More Player HITlights soon.

NYG Week Part 5:Replacing A Redemption #1

Well, as with all of my redemptions that don't get filled after the 4-month deadline, I get them replaced.

No different with my latest two redemptions. I got them both replaced and showing the results off today and tomorrow.

I much prefer getting a card from a player on my team then a card I didn't want in the first place. I mean, who doesn't?

So when the 4-months hit on my redemption for a 2015 Donruss Signature Series Rookie Jersey auto of Buck Allen had reached it's point, I requested from Panini (who are the best at these replacments) something Giants for it. Here is what I got....

Not too bad. My first autograph of his as well. Hopefully this year he will be able to stay on the field and play and make an impact on a defense that really needs it and add some depth to the D-line.

My second card, coming tomorrow, is much more of an upgrade. Stay tuned!
