They're Back....

In the past week or so, I have decided to revive a few of my older blogs and give them some life.

With time always being a factor, I had given up on a few of my other blogs. But, recently, with the re-downloading of the Blogger app, I have found that it simply takes seconds to post on these blogs. However, the difference between them and this blog, they are simply card pics. If you are into that kinda thing, I suggest you follow them. They each have their own representation/style so maybe some you will follow and others of you won't. I guess it depends if you just like to see different pieces of cardboard or not.

Now here is a quick breakdown on them.

Up first, The Card Bin. This blog at one point was going to replace Sport Card Collectors. But, there was just something with this blog I couldn't let go so that blog became non existent til now. That blog features cards from all sports and non-sports focusing on newer cards that I may not have posted on here before. You can locate that blog, HERE.

Second, Hampton's Cardboard Craze. A blog that focuses on my Rodney Hampton PC. The cards featured on there are much different than what I post on here. The ones on here are inserts and on there would be a main focus of base cards. Still a lot of fun to see however. If you wanna check that out, go HERE.

Last but not least, one of my favorite blogs that I was sad to give up posting full time on is, That 90's Sport Card Blog. This blog features cards from all sports and non-sports only from the 90's. All years will be featured. If that floats your boat, check that one out HERE.

I won't post on these daily like this blog. They are more when I have a minute type of blogs, but some weeks may have consecutive days of new card pics posts. Please add them to your blog read lists if you can or haven't already in the past. Would be appreciated!

Also, if you guys have any other blogs let me know and I will check them out and add you to my read list. Like I say a million times, I am always into adding new reading material.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Time To Say Goodbye

It has taken me months to realize that I just don't have the time/energy/other reasons to run multiple blogs and every time I try to start to post on them, I realize it more and more. I think that is why I have also taken some of what I wanted from each blog and added it to Sport Card Collectors to make it one blog and not four. That may be part of the reason why I believe Sport Card Collectors has had it's best year yet and why I finally am happy with the way it's turning out.

With myself finally facing this sad reality, I have decided to say goodbye to my other blogs. Yes, I have tried this before, but this time it's for real. I am not going back to them. The final posts on there are the final posts.

So let's send these off for the final time. If you hadn't checked them out before, well, here you go. I have also made a few small notes below with each blog giving you a quick rundown on each and another tidbit or two.

Enjoy and make sure you say your final goodbye to new posts on these other blogs :)

THE CARD BIN: I started this blog up to do more opinion stories, personal collecting and writing at a time when Sport Card Collectors had just been about card pictures. Well, as you have seen, I have steadily increased more writing on here and more about what I collect so I must thank The Card Bin blog for that.

That 90's Sport Card Blog: Still one of my favorites of the group especially in terms of design and boldness. But, I have increased a 90's presence on here and plan to do even more with it down the road. So the need for a separate blog based on this topic isn't really needed though it was fun.

The Trading Card Want List: The baby of the group. I was really hoping this would take off but it never did. All I was attempting to do was help collectors fill their want lists but listing them out for other collectors. It was easy to use but nobody ever used it. So what started as a dream, fell to the hashtag #CollectFail.

Even though I am a bit sad about ditching these, I know that they will always still live on as I don't plan on pulling them down. I also know that a part of them exists right here on this blog.

So please goodbye to my other blogs. Sport Card Collectors however WILL continue on!

That 90's Sport Card Blog Post Of The Day: That 90's Card: 1996-1997 Hoops Steve Nash (Rookie)

I acquired this rookie card recently from eBay. He is fun to watch. I am also a big fan of Hoops. I like how it incorporates coaches into the set because honestly, players can play, but coaches are a big part of that and this is a way to sort of give them a "shout out".

Follow this link and check this rookie card out of him:

That 90's Sport Card Blog Post Of The Day: That 90's Card: 1993 Topps Stadium Club 1st Day Issue Wade Boggs

You just gotta love parallels from the 90's. This one is simple, but fun and from one of my favorite sets. Check it out right here on this link:

That 90's Sport Card Blog Post Of The Day

If you haven't heard yet, I have brought back That 90's Sport Card Blog. Yes, break open the champaigne and celebrate! There won't be daily posts anymore but I plan on doing posts on and off and keeping the blog going as I really liked doing those posts and showing cards off from the 90's. You will also see some 90's posts on here and you have already, over the next couple of months. So if you didn't know I brought that blog back and have missed the last three NEW POSTS I am here to catch you up. Here are the links to those:

That 90's Card: 1997 Spx Herman Moore

That 90's Card: 1996 Topps Hobby Masters Kerry Collins

and the new post I just put up today:

That 90's Card: 1996-1997 Fleer Kobe Bryant (Rookie)

Enjoy!

Goodbye and Hello

In life each day we say hello and goodbye to people we see, yesterday I had to do this in a different form, Blog form.

Yesterday marked the final post on That 90's Sport Card Blog possibly forever. As I mentioned, the blog will always stay "alive" and there is always that possibility of its return. However, as of now, it has it's final post.

Now you may question why I let go of That 90's Sport Card Blog when my head has been back in the 90's collecting mode. Well, there were many factors and here they are.
  1. The view count despite my best efforts were not there compared to the work I was putting in. It wasn't even close to evening out. On an average day it was being seen 24-45 times. On an average day this blog is seen 300-500 times. That is quite a difference and I gave That 90's Sport Card Blog three months to get it going but it just wouldn't pick up.
  2. It is also very time consuming to run two blogs and I feel my efforts on here were lacking and the blog with the lesser views was taking all of my time.
  3. This blog is needing something fresh as well. The Cards Of The Week posts just aren't hitting a quota I put them at. Changes are needed and since I am such a huge fan of 90's collecting and now that I have tons of posts that need to go somewhere, I hope that incorporating them into Sport Card Collectors in a couple of weeks will get them seen more. Yes, this is also way of saying early on, once again, REALLY BIG CHANGES will be coming to this blog.
Though it was really tough to say Goodbye to That 90's Sport Card Blog as I was really liking the color and layout of the blog and the posts, I put a positive spin on it as I got to say Hello to the new additions it will bring to this blog by combining it with this one Which I think will be a very fun combination and I look forward to showing you some INCREDIBLE MIND-BLOWING CARDS!

Thanks to everyone who spent time on That 90's Sport Card Blog and showed their support. Like I stated, right now it is dead but you never know, just like 90's collecting, it could make a return!
