Prepon This Mail Day Post From Dennis

Christmas may be over, but posts about my mail days from Christmas are not.

I received quite a few mail days overall around Christmas, with some being from trades, some being from RAKs and some being my usual Christmas gifts from yearly collecting buddies.

To kick off this New Year, my blog posts are going to be playing catchup on all of those mail days which begins with todays from Dennis over at Too Many Verlander's blog fame.

Every year, Dennis hits up quite a few bloggers and maybe even former bloggers with his excellent Christmas mail days. Mine, as with any mail day I get from Dennis, did not disappoint.
\
This is a Gold Medallion from one of the top running backs in NY Giants history.

I can't remember, but pretty sure I claimed this card and

this one as well for my 90's PC. I never turn down a great looking 90's card regardless of who the player is.

Speaking of that, this Bernie Williams right here may have been one of my favorite cards from the entire mail day. This is from 1998 Pacific Paramount and I definitely need the Griffey like this now.

Kadarius Toney isn't one of my most favorite former Giants players, but he was still in blue if even for a short time. The Prizm green is a super shiny cool in-person card.

Plaxico Burress however is one of my favorites. He is also the one I believe helped lead Eli Mannings career and definitely was the reason the Giants made a run in 2008 and beat the Patriots in Super Bowl 42.
Allan Houston will always rank as one of my favorite Knicks all time. I think this may be an in-person or TTM autograph? Not sure if this one is on his checklist. I haven't had the chance to check either.

The next two cards Dennis must have seen on my all-time want list.
My very first Ike Hilliard autograph. I don't know how I didn't already have one since Ike played for the Gmen so long ago, but I didn't. Now I do and he can be crossed off.

And Laura Prepon who most may remember as Donna Pinciotti in That 70's Show. That's the main reason I wanted to have this autograph. This goes in the non-sports nostalgia pc part.

There you have it. Another great mailing by Dennis. Thanks again.

This is just one of many mail day Christmas posts I have to come. So, grab your coffee, hot cocoa and get ready for a long ride to see some really fun cards.

Dennis Claus Is Sending Out Packages

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout I'm telling you why, Dennis Claus is sending out packages.

He's checking your want lists, checking them twice, he's even gonna find out if you have been naughty or nice, Dennis Claus is sending out packages.

And he did! Dennis hit up multiple bloggers/collectors with Christmas packages and once again I was one of his lucky recipients.

First up some Yanks including Randy Johnson who I never get sick of seeing in pinstripes.

Jorge Posada Topps Chrome refractor

Bernie Williams Curtain Call. If you look at this card and it doesn't make you miss Upper Deck baseball cards you better check your eyes.

Paul O'Neil Finest. And no, I won't peel

Same goes for this Wade Boggs. To me peeling is taking away the mint of the card

New Griffey!!

Rashad Jennings numbered and a Salsa dancing Cruz.

Tiki!

Jacobs and Nicks were apart of the good Giants teams. I miss those days.

DRC refractor

I can't just stop with the Y, I need the rest now. I had been staring at these for a long time hoping to land one then get me motivated for the rest, well, here we are. Let's see how far I can go. They all have to be the same color though. So need to find the greens

Tiki Barber red uncirculated refractor.

Jake Plummer 90's checklist insert

and some set help!

Thanks goes out to Dennis for the mail day. Really appreciate it as always.

He sees you when you're sleeping (bit creepy huh)
And he knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake

You better watch out
You better not cry
You better not pout
I'm telling you why
'Cause Dennis Claus is sending...oh Dennis Claus is sending...ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Dennis Claus is sennnnnndddiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnng out Paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaackkkkaaaaggeesssss!!

Pieces Of My Future #8:Never Too Many Cards

Here is the next part of my mail day from  Too Many Verlanders blog. First we dived into non card items, today we dig into the cards. However, these are the non hit cards but still pretty slick.

I mean look at this Bernie. Wow. I hadn't ever seen one of these. What ever happened to great looking inserts like this?! Today we extra base cards acting as inserts.

Loved me some Donruss Preferred and not that stuff Panini tried to put out.

Sportflix movement.

Ken Griffey jr! I will have to repay Dennis back with some dupes I have as we both collect THE MAN.

More Junior love

Very cool Power Brokers card. The 90's just did it right

I am telling you, Collectors Choice was da bomb.

And this card is simply amazing. I didn't have the base card version of it and only the large one. Can you find me a better looking baseball base card?

More Gmen. Most I don't have.

These are beautiful!!!!! Hadn't seen them before but so glad I have em now.

Gold parallels. Love the photo on the Osi. Those were good times when the Giants had their pass rush.

Great looking die cut card. come on Eli, lets see one more of those trophies before you step away.

Even though the player wasn't great, I am looking at the cards themselves and how sharp the parallels look. Really wished Chrome was still in football as it was always my go-to.

Some more shiny mixed in.

And we finish it up with Eli. That Epix is Epic and the future star card I have never seen before.

And that does it for Part 2 of my mail day from Dennis with one more part to go. I will be showing off the pretty sweet hits he sent my way.

These Kind Of Christmas Cards Are The Best

Dennis from Too Many Verlanders was my main target of PWE attacks in 2018. Every time I see something I think he likes, I mail it out. It's a lot of fun on my end and I expect it to be that way in 2019 as well.

I was fortunate enough this year to be apart of his Christmas Cards mail out packages in which he sent out 20 surprises.

I got mine about a week ago and just getting to posting it now.

Dennis covered all three areas of my PC's.

Yankees galore,

David Justice (who sometimes I forget was a Yankee til a cardful reminder), and one of my favorite Yanks, Bernie Williams.

Mr Mattingly and his awesome stache'

I wasn't Bogg-ed down about these. Lots of 90's love,

Speaking of 90's love, awesome Score insert of Bernie here. Man, do I miss stuff like this.

And it was true love at first sight when I discovered this Bernie within.

And the final Yank was this Piece Of Action International Connection Posada. If I remember right, these International versions were not as easy as the basic relics to find in this product.

Then came a handful of Juniors. In 2019, I plan on re-sorting my entire Griffey collection and using a tab on here to post page by page my collection. That way if someone wants to send or trade me Griffeys I will know what I have and don't have. I do have a full checklist I may FINALLY fill out as well which would be easier to post. But, we will see.

Up next, some Gmen!

Numbered Jacobs and Shockey I didn't have.

Another Jeremy numbered. I loved this guy he was so dominant and just pushed over defenders like they were lighter than air.

Must be a team set from 2007 Topps football. This was a great year for the Giants when the rookies in this group stepped up big time to help lead them to a Super Bowl victory.

Eli who is supposedly coming back again next year along with Strahan another NY legend. I hadn't ever seen that Ron Dayne before.

Cruuuuuuuuuz

Bulldozer Jacobs. He reminded me of The Bus in terms of running style

Cruz passes the torch onto...

OBJ. Wished this guy could have stayed healthy this year.

A new Nassib for that side PC.

Getting my Game Face on with LT,

Two brand spankin' new Rueben Randles. He has one of the worst autographs.

Davis Webb. Who I hope pans out somewhere with my expanded collection of his,

One of my favorite All Time Giants in Amani Toomer. Great name as well.

And this wicked cool card in Tyrone Wheatley. Sport Flix should be brought back!
A big thanks to Dennis for this great Christmas gift. I look forward to sending you more PWE's in 2019 and actually have one ready to send out soon to kick off the New Year :) Keep an eye on that mail box...
