Another 90's Auto Addition, Co-Signed

I know it's Halloween, but don't let the $15 price tag scare you on this card, I picked up this card pretty reasonable at $4.

This marks my fourth card from the 1997 Stadium Club co-signers set. I still have a few Giants including a couple of Rodney Hampton's I need to chase down. Most of them are fairly cheap but some I cannot find.

Today's card features to average corners so I say it was a perfect matchup on the card. Both autographs have also stood the test of time and look really sharp still. Remember a day when cards were signed only on-card?

Sunday's With Rodney:1997 Stadium Club Co-Signers Autograph

One of the best autograph sets of all-time and especially of the 90's is Stadium Club Co-Signers.
These sharp looking autograph cards have one side printed with rainbow foil and the other side plain foil with each side featuring one player. The autographs are all on-card and have seemed to held up well over time without fading.

These are not always easy to find as they fall 1:63 packs so it was more than 1:2 boxes to land one. I never pulled one but have picked up a few cheap ones within the last year. However, the one I really needed to continue on with my Hampton Cardboard Craze (like how I did that), was on eBay and I was short funded to get it. I was fortunate enough that a buddy of mine was able to snag it before it ended and we proceeded with a trade afterwards.

And on the back is former Giants player David Meggett. I actually was lucky enough to meet David once at a charity event. He has a really nice signature. None of that two letter stuff we see today.

Even though this knocks a huge need of the Hampton Wantlist, he sadly has a couple of other Co-Signer autographs in the set I may never find.

These Guys Would Co-Sign With Me

One of the most impressive looking autograph sets in the late 90's to me was the 1997 Stadium Club Co-Signers. Now I have added two more to the PC, this time, NYG style!

I don't quite remember what I was looking up when I stumbled on this card that was on a Black Friday sale for $5.25, but, when I saw the price and who was involved, it didn't matter.

Nice rainbow foil shine with a clean on-card autograph of Fred Barnett....

and one of my favorite Giants growing up in Amani Toomer.

My second purchase was because of the first one. After paying for the other one, this one popped up as a same interest item for about that same price and I couldn't let that slip by. So I bought it

Just as impressive as the design, I was impressed to see a Wayne Chrebet autograph go for so low. I consider him as one of the greater WR's the Jets have ever had. The guy wasn't a superstar, but he found ways to make a big impact in a game. Even though he isn't a Giant, I was pretty happy with him on the card alongside...

Overall this marks my second and third Co-Signer autograph. I would like to add more, but only for the right price. If only today's autographed cards even looked half as good as these.

$3 Co-Signer Pickup

My search for hard-to-pull and I couldn't afford at the time insert/autograph pulls from the 90's chase continued. This time my search led me for a 1997 Topps Stadium Club Co-Signer card that I believe was the first dual signed card.

These front/back signed autographed cards fell at a rate of 1:70 packs in 1997. That was a year where I ripped through a few boxes of the product and never hit one. Though back then that wasn't my reasoning for opening it as Stadium Club had a superb base card design and some nice inserts that year. I will show one of those in an upcoming 90's Flashback post. In the meantime, I will show you my newest pickup.

Upon searching Co-Signers on eBay, which by the way are not cheap, I stumbled upon one on sale for $3. Not to mention FREE SHIPPING. How could I not pick it up? And it wasn't like I didn't know at least one of the players on the card. I actually saw a lot of him in the 90's in my packs.

So here it is, $3 and glorious! Love the rainbow foil and wished they had done it front and back but it is still an impressive looking card.

Glad to have crossed this one off my want list. Now onto the next part of my 90's card journey. Where that will lead me, only time AND money can tell.
