Oren Sends A Variety

My latest mail day from Oren arrived a while ago, but I am just getting to posting it. That's how far buried I am in posts on here as we creep towards February where I am hoping to finally get caught up.

But first, let's tackle my latest Oren mail day that features a variety from a variety of PC's.

Playbook die cut Title Quest of Drew Bledsoe

Pacific Saved By The Bell Tiffani-Amber Thiessen. Great card, may need to chase down more.

Time Capsule CD from Powerdeck

Ultra relic of Corey Dillion, who is a side PC.

Ulf Samuelsson Crunch Crew, recently these early 90's subsets have really grown on me

Mickey Mantle...reprint insert from something.

And finally, some Masters Of The Universes cards. These are quite unique and nothing I have seen before. I used to love watching the show but don't remember anything about it other than He-Man and Skeletor. Which I will also toss out there if any of you have the Battle Damage He-Man or Skeletor, I would trade cards for those.

Thoughts on my mail day are welcomed in comments.

Thanks again to Oren for another awesome mail day and I am looking forward to our next trade!

Set Help And The 90's

If you haven't ever checked out Shane's Project Pedro blog especially on Wednesdays, you are missing out. Every Wednesday he breaks a cheap box under $50 and shows ever piece he gets from the box in his Cheap Wax Wednesday series.

I keep an eye on every one of those pieces he shows off to see what I may acquire in a trade. If I only made a list after all of these years as there has been so much great stuff.

So in our latest trade I did acquire some of those pulls.

Trio of John Elways,

The Edge and Galloway,

Brett Favre. Believe it or not, but my Brett Favre collection which resides over 300 different cards is one of the bigger non collecting PC's I have. There is Griffey, Hampton, Eli Manning, than Brett Favre. Pretty crazy. So when I can add the man with the bullet of an arm, I do.

A shiny card and a set I am trying to build in Nemeses

Speaking of sets, Shane even was able to fill in some spots,

(love this set. this is a gold parallel)

1996 Spx baseball set needs, Someday I will finish this one,

VERY SLOWLY building the Spx basketball set,

Ex set,

One of the greatest looking sets all-time. I have a long ways to go.

And some Americana needs
Now I just need to get on here and  mark off my new set adds. That's another project in 2019.

Project Pedro Trade Recap Part 11:Setting The Edge

October has officially been named, Cards I Got From Project Pedro Blog Month.

Other than viewing Project Pedro's blog for his #CheapWaxWednesday posts, I also view them to pick out cards I may try to trade for later on.

This one I had my eye on for awhile. Having been a fan of Spx, 90's cards, 90's autographs and key rookies from that era, it only made sense that I needed to have this auto that he pulled from a box of 1999 Spx football:

The auto is a bit sloppy and doesn't fit on the card well, but it's on-card and the design is sharp. And it's Edge James, can't go wrong with that either.

Let me know your thoughts on today's card addition and let me know your best auto of the 90's you own in comments.

Card Show Breaks: 99 Topps Season Opener and Upper Deck MVP Football

Along with the great singles I bought..I found some 50 cent packs. Here is a break of 24 packs of Topps Season Opener Football 99 and one pack of Upper Deck MVP Football 99

Landed all of the good rookies including Edgerrin James, Donovan McNabb and Ricky Williams

Landed 3 inserts in this pack..bet that doesn't happen to often!

Overall, some good inserts. A great break with the Topps Season Opener landing a ton of rookies including the best ones...did very well with value with these 2 breaks.
