May Contest Week 3

WELCOME! This is the Third and final week of our May Contest. Now, compared to monthly contests in the past, this one is different. Instead of picking different winners daily, earning points, having the top three in points win prizes you only need to do this one entry where there will be one winner at the end of this week. This contest will run for three weeks and there will be a total of three winners. Once you have won for this month, you cannot win again as we want to spread the prize love around. Also, once you have won for the month, you will go into the WINNERS CIRCLE where you will not only be randomed to pick a prize for the month (all three names will be randomed and the person at the top of the list from the random picks their prize then so on), but will get a guaranteed spot in October's Monthly Contest. That is the ONLY way to be able to enter October's Contest. which has three prizes including a GRAND PRIZE from BCW Supplies.

3. As a tiebreaker, the total amount of STRIKEOUT by both STARTING PITCHERS
4. Any other tiebreaker will be broken up by a random

MONTHLY CONTEST RULES AND INFO

I hope all of you enjoyed playing in April's Contest and congrats again to our winners. For the month of May til the October there will be some changes made to the monthly contests. For one, there was a ton of inconsistency on the amount of people that would enter per day. Some days there would be 12 other days there would be 20. There were also some who entered one day and never came back again. I like contests with lots of competition. So to fix this problem I have found a new simpler way to play the monthly contest game.

Before I tell you how to play, I first want to say thanks to Jammin JDcards and BCW Supplies for providing prizes for the monthly contests Without them, there would be no contests.

Now onto how to play:

• There will be one game a week to pick the winner, total score, and another stat of from that game.
• The games will consist of many sports including MLB, NBA, NFL, NASCAR, WNBA, and so on. You just will never know
• Each game that is chosen will be a Sunday Night game. You will have one week to get your ONE entry in. Do not be late on your entry or it will not count!
• All entries will be hidden for the fun of the game and the challenge. But will be revealed the following day when a winner is announced.
• There will be ONE WINNER per week for THREE WEEKS. The winners will be thrown into a WINNERS POT and will be randomed for the prize of their choice starting with the person whose name is at the top of the list
• Once you have won for the month, you CANNOT win again that same month. We are looking for more winners here.
• BIG NEWS: Everyone who won from April-September, including the Top 3 in April, will be battling it out for a GRAND PRIZE from BCW Supplies in October along with some break spots from Jammin JDcards as well. If there are same winners from different months, meaning if Sport Card Collectors won in May and August, they will only get in for one of the months and then we will take names of those who entered the monthly contests on a consistent basis and random the names and fill in those spots of same winners. So make sure you always enter!
• There should be 18 winners entering for the October Contest. However, if there is good turnout on a weekly basis, I may, actually I will, random off a two more Wild Card spots into the challenge for the Grand Prize contest for those who enter regularly. Making 20 possible spots open for the Grand Prize month. Three spots have already been claimed from April.

There are only two rules:

• This contest is open to U.S. Residents ONLY....Sorry!
• HAVE FUN and win great prizes!

Now onto the winnings. I usually I have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize. But not this time. I think all of these prizes are pretty equal and will allow the winner to choose which prize they want. After that, the second place winner picks their prize and the third place winner gets the remaining prize. The prize places will be decided by the monthly randoming. Then prizes can be chosen.

BREAKING NEWS: IT'S BAAAAAAAAACCCCKKKKK!!!

If you have been around Sport Card Collectors in the past year, you might have participated in something called the Monthly Contests. On my birthday today, I am happy to announce IT HAS RETURNED! The contest that this blog is well known for will run til at least October and will make it's anticipated surprise return on April 1st.

For those of you who may not be familiar with what the monthly contest is, every day I post up a game or a stat from multiple sports you must pick the winner of. If you get the game or stat right, you win a point. You get it wrong, you get zero points. There will be standings you can keep track of your score on and the the top three at the end of 20 days win prizes. The only rules here is that you must be a U. S. Resident and you must be into fun challenges.

There will be a few changes to the contest this time around, mainly in the prize department but others will be made as well. Main prizes for this contest will be provided by Jammin JDcards and BCW Supplies. I may throw some in as well depending on the amount of participants, Panini reviews we do and what prizes are offered for the month. Make sure you are following both Jammin JDcards and BCW Supplies and tell them thank you for the prizes and their support. I will post the prizes along with the standings at the end of this month followed by your first entry into the contest on April 1st. In this contest, remember you are never out and nothing is ever randomed. You control if you win or not by picking games/stats right. This is what makes this contest so much fun.

Rules for Monthly Contests

Here are the NEW rules for the monthly contest! We have dulled down the rules and the point system a little bit to make it more reasonable for us to keep track of. These contests start at the beginning of every month.

*Everyday we will post a game pick, player pick or sports related question. You will post a response by commenting on that days post. You will earn 1 point for the right answer. 0 for the wrong. As the new monthly contest is all about wins and losses.

*The new monthly contests will not have anymore double point, underdog or newbie days. Which also means newbies can join at any point in the contest (except the last 2 days) though we strongly recommend starting early since this contest is about having the most wins. However, you are never out of the contest because the final two days of the contest will still involve gambling your wins in an all about fight to the finish! An example of this is, if you have 10 wins and want to gamble 8 of them, you put that in comments with your answer for the day. You will earn that many if you are right, however, you will lose that many if you get it wrong. Even a person with 1 win could pull off the contest!

*The monthly contest will run for 25 Days. We thought about 20, but it would be a 10-11 Day gap in between contests so we wanted it a little longer.

*There is a deadline everyday for each entry. PLEASE make sure to make that deadline. If you are a minute late your entry WILL NOT COUNT for that day

*Each post will be posted early morning so it will give you plenty of time to reach the deadline. We try to get most deadlines for 10 pm e.t. but it doesn't always work that way.

 *These contests are open to US Residents only! Sorry!

PRIZES:

*There will be a prize lot consisting of Jersey cards, auto cards , rookie cards and inserts. The lots will be mainly Panini America cards. PLEASE make sure to tell them thank you for helping provide these prizes for this contest by providing us review boxes. It and even us would be non existent without them. Least we could do is say thanks.

*There will be 3 place prizes. However, we must stay at a 25 people a day entry to award them. If there are multiple days of under 25 contestants, the prize drops to just one.

*Second and Third place prizes will consist of inserts and rookie cards (around 4-6 cards)

*This is also a bloggers contest, meaning if we finish in the Top 3 we claim that spots prize meaning that prize will be moved onto the next month.

January Monthly Giveaway!

To start off the new year we have decided instead of doing weekly giveaways, we will stick with a monthly one. The weekly giveaways seemed to have lost interest of many of you so we think switching to a challenging monthly one where you control your own destiny of winning. We really enjoy watching the competition. And as always there are daily deadlines and some twists involved on some days.

The Daily challenges will change as the sports do.

Every month the prize lot will include 2-3 autos or jersey cards. Mix of inserts. 2 unopened packs of something. And other odds and ends. The lot is based on what we get and put together. Each month the size of the lot will be different as well.
