Cards From Tom

Tom from The Angels, In Order recently was giving away some cards for others to claim.

I have been a long-time reader of his blog and when I saw the post, I had to at least see what he was offering.

I don't claim anything that I cannot use in my collection. I know some people just claim cards to claim cards, but I am not like that (this makes reference towards people on Twitter specifically). 

I find cards that fit some part of my PC.

How about a Robin Hood card featuring Morgan Freeman?

Or a Will Scarlett sticker from Robin Hood?

The next three cards I just thought looked cool, so I claimed them.

It still makes them PC.

OG Superman base card. I will always accept cards like this.

And anyone who knows me...knows I....

 

 

will always take Batman cards. I mean he is the greatest superhero ever.

Feeling Mystical

I have found out that posting your wants is a good idea on the blogosphere.

Because you just never know when a reader will have what you need.

When I posted my Unfinished Cup segment post about 2024 Topps Update Mystical on Cards Over Coffee, reader and fellow blogger Stuart who runs S.R. '75 Cards blog, commented saying that he had some help for my set chase.

So, we began emailing back and forth working on a trade. Before I could even begin on my end, he already sent out cards on his end.

Here are five more down for my set chase,

I Wanted It Because It Looked Cool

Sometimes you just want a card, not because of the player, but because of the design or because it just simply "looked cool".

This card I got from Johnny's Trading Spot was exactly why I wanted it.

 

I am not sure what it is with comic books, space or dinosaur designed cards combined with a sport, but I really like those ones and will add them of whomever.

It's sort of a side PC.

Not that Jackson Holliday being a decent player isn't a bonus with this one.

Rodney's Cardboard:2023 Topps Composite Grounded Superfractor 1/1

 

Last Sunday of February and I had to bring the fire!

This is the first Superfractor in Rodney Hampton history and guess who owns it and the entire run of the rainbow?? Yup...ME!

And this also marks only my second super in my entire overall collection.

I will have to gather all of these together when I get the chance so they can take a family photo together.

This card came thanks to an assist from Shane from Cheap Wax Wednesday fame!

Rodney's Cardboard:2023 National Treasures Autograph Plate 1/1

 

So far, only one of the multiple 1/1's for the Rodney Hampton National Treasures has popped up and guess who had to have it? Yup, this Super Collector.

Who knows when another will pop up. But, I am sure glad I was able to snag this one thanks to my buddy Shane from Cheap Wax Wednesday fame.

Also, guess what....another 1/1 coming up next Sunday! So hope to see you back. I mean there is no football to watch now so I know you will be!

A Variety From Dion

It had been a while, but Dion from Dion's Autograph blog and I finally pulled off another PWE trade.

There is a good mix of sports and non-sports above. Even some new Kerry Collins! Can't remember the last time I added to that PC.

My Favorite Shiffrins

I collect Mikaela Shiffrin.

I don't die hard collect her, but I collect enough of her to make it worthwhile. She is one of the very few local celebrities we have here. Even though she wasn't born here, she went to ski school here and that is only about 20 minutes from where I live which is super cool.

My last three adds were some of my favorite ones of her PC so far.

This is my first PMG. This is a red /150. Looks great.

When a relic card of hers popped up for $3, it had to be mine. Once again, another nice-looking card.

Then finally, a dream card of mine. I always wanted to own a 90's version of this kind of card, but at least I have one now and it's a PC player.

A Jambalaya!! Such a cool card!! These are also very hard to land as they are case hits I believe.

Will The Giants Draft Him Part 2? Jaxson Dart

 

The New York Football Giants currently have no quarterback on their roster they are sticking with and a Top 3 draft pick to get their future one. 

The question is, who and when will they draft him.

To plan accordingly, I acquired a couple autographs of two top QB prospects I have heard them being connected to. And no, I have not landed a Sanders autograph yet.

Today's autograph is Jaxson Dart. He is predicted to be more of a second-round guy, but he is moving up the charts fast recently so maybe the Giants will either draft Travis Hunter at three then trade back into the end of the 1st to grab him or maybe just take him in the second round.

Will the Giants draft him? Will this be their guy? We will find out around April 24th.
