Talkin' Toys: The Grand Finale

 After doing a few of these posts, I decided I no longer wanted to do anymore.

But, don't fret fellow toy collectors, I won't leave you hanging. Which is why today is a gallery of everything else that I picked up from the Daycare sale.

Some of these items mean more to me than others as far as nostalgia, but some were grabbed simply because they were from the 90's and really cheap.

I will let the toys do the talkin' for the finale.

Overall, I spent less than $20 on everything that I grabbed for myself however that doesn't account for stuff my wife picked up. As you can see, I scored fairly well.

I haven't decided where I will display all of these or actually any of the toys I own. Right now they are all in a tote for safe keeping for later on in life. Maybe by then I will find a cool way to show them all off.

Rodney's Cardboard:1993 McDonalds Uncut Sheet

I went on a two week span of looking for uncut sheets featuring Rodney and only could find two. I know there must be more out there. Just gotta find them.

In 1993, Mcdonalds ran a promo with the NFL with one of their game peel off contests. As always, there was instant win prizes for food and drink, there was a chance at Super Bowl tickets and there were also points you could earn as well and save those towards merchandise and six card sheets of trading cards at a participating restaurant.

For ten points, customers received a six-card sheet that done regionally so you would have a chance at possible favorite players from your favorite teams.

I picked up the card of Rodney itself last year, but decided I wanted the matching sheet to go with it. I think it was a great idea for under $3.

 

I should probably find the other NY Giants sheet I believe there is out there.

Looking at this makes me want a Big Mack, Double Quarter Pounder with cheese and bacon, BBQ Bacon burger, their fries when really hot and fresh or all of their breakfast food.

with the newest segment, Rodney's Corner. This new segment will feature all of my newest Rodney Hampton additions. This will still stick with the 90's because it's the era Rodney was from and why I collected him. 

Today's Rodney was one I have been hunting down for some time.

For a few years I have been chasing down the Rodney Hampton card from the set with not help in finding it. A few days ago for fun, I was looking up missing Hampton cards and then boom, for $1 shipped it sat there and I said "yes sir!"

It arrived a few days later. And even though I would have preferred the whole sheet so it was perfectly mint, the card was in good shape and I just needed a copy. Maybe if I found a full sheet later on I will snag it.

90's Happy Meal toys were so much cooler than today's. You combine transforming dinosaurs with your favorite kids food and you got a winner.

I found today's item in a free box at a yard sale. Mint condition. These aren't worth much more than memories, but that's all I need.

Then the other and you get a fierce monster!

FEATURED CARDS: Today's theme has to do with food and dinosaurs who had a monstrous appetite. So when searching for cards for today, I came upon some Steve McNair rookie cards from 1995 and thought this was a good fit.

Steve was Someone who had a monstrous appetite for the field. He was not only a great passing QB, but the guy was a dual threat as a runner too. Not to mention tough and helped lead the Titans to the Super Bowl falling just a yard shy of possibly winning the Big Game.

I bought a ton of 1995 Pinnacle. I loved the inserts, Museum Collection cards and the base card design and photography in general.

Sport Flix...now if you can only focus your eyes after.

Fleer Metals debut. Was a great line for some time.

#WalletCard Is "lovin it"

It wasn't my first choice for lunch, I am a Burger King kinda guy myself, but #WalletCard decided he needed a bite to eat and that McDonalds fries and a drink sounded ideal to him.

The fries this time were crunchy, exactly the way that he likes them.

After a few tastes of grease saltiness he needed a swig root beer
