Kerry's Cardboard:Some Cool Adds

I really love it when I can just take a handful of Collins cards and showcase them all at once. Unlike my Rodney Hamptons, Kerry Collins flow in fast and all at once.

I have been fortunate that I have found some collectors who send me them and others trade them to me. Not to mention the cheap ones I add myself.

So to continue to catch myself up, here is a bunch of Kerry's for your viewing!

This one caugh my eye immediately. Cheap, beautiful die cut.

And it's numbered and in good condition....sign me up again!

Another Kerry autograph add. I still havea such a long ways to go with adding his autographs. The one I really want is the 1995 Proline Classic but can't ever find one under $10.

This big easy card was super cool. Numbered and everything....

Even the back was...

Until I took the card out of the holder. I don't have a picture of it but the card was snapped in two and the seller never mentioned it to me. So I won't be crossing this one off from my list and will need another copy. This card is printed on a thick plastic which is why the card snapped.

I was not pleased.

And then came this 1997 Flair Hot Hands I had my eye on for awhile. I just couldn't justify pouring the money out for it as I found it was a little steep. That's until I found out that these fell 1:90 packs which is probably one in a few boxes back then.

The card had a price of $35 on it which I bet was the price point back then in Beckett. I landed it for about $7 shipped which is what they are going for. So not going to complain and these aren't easy to come by.

$25 A Week Challenge Week 10:TD Salute!

Can't believe this is the 10th post in this series already. That's crazy!

So far this series has had mixed reviews in terms of views and comments so not sure how much longer I will continue with it, but for now I still have some cool things to share so who knows.

Today, I had to make the 10th one, a special one with a nice round number and boy did I find a great card to do it with.

I think I got a big time steal on this one.

Card is numbered to 150 which is not much for those times.

The other crazy part, nobody bid against me. A Two-Time Super Bowl winning, record breaking, Hall Of Fame, rare card running back for $15.99+$3.50 shipping.

How could one not one to pull the trigger?!?

Next up, I snagged another pretty good deal when once again nobody bid against me on it.

 

1997 Scoreboard Gems Of The Game Terrell Davis for $2.00+$1.50 shipping. Not too shabby at all! This makes my second one of him however so one I will dangle to a Bronco trader buddy of mine. The first one I paid $7 for. I really want to build this set, but that's an adventure way down the road. For now I would just like to add the Kerry Collins one for my PC. There is only one listed and its for $20 so may be awhile unless they drop down the price to affordable.

 

The final card for this win, pink pulsar refractor of my boy Saquon Barkley for $1.50 and free shipping.Couldn't turn that down could I?

This weeks grand total was $24.49. There was nothing for .51 I needed so I was happy stopping there.

I forgot to mention above, but that's really my first official TD autograph so knocking down a big time autograph for less than $20 was the way to go.

Breakin' Wax:1998 Playoff Momentum Retail Pack Break

A few weeks ago, I showed off a pack of 1998 Playoff Momentum from one of my $25 A Week Challenge pickups and mentioned in that post how I would be breaking it on here. Well, that time has finally come.

I am obviously hoping for a Peyton Manning or Randy Moss, but with only four cards per pack that becomes a challenge. But, I accept the challenge.

Let 'er rip!

There are only four cards per pack and I only paid $3. It was worth it regardless of what I pull.

The base cards have an embossed football feel to them. Kinda fun. Mainly player focused base cards with some action photography to them.

Da Moose! Daryl Johnston plowed over oncoming defenders to make room for a Emmitt Smith run.

Antonio Freeman. Such an underrated WR.

Frank Wycheck. Who can forget his lateral pass in the playoffs on the game ending kickoff return against the Bills that led to the Kevin Dyson game winning TD in the Music City Miracle.

  

Andre Reed is another guy who didn't get enough credit for what he did in his career.

Not a bad pack in my opinion and the point of it was to be nostalgic and it hit that spot. I have thought about picking up another one down the road if I find it cheap enough again.
