Pieces Of My Future #13:Got Some Finally!
After the NFL Draft, I was in a flurry trying to get some cards of the Giants first round QB Daniel Jones as I didn't have any. I was and have been also trying to land a Jones autograph via trade but I have had zero takers. It was the same amount of takers I had on this blog for my PWE section so I pulled it.
My buddy @Brent3323 came to the rescue with my first cards of the Giants QB and even sent along some other friends with him. Dudes so nice and generous.

Daniel Jones! I gotta update my Giants numbers with my first two! (if you have any send 'em my way!)
Also sent the third Giants first round grab in Baker. They have been needing another lockdown corner and I was completely on board with this.
Numbered Nassibs
Steve Smith numbered. I wished he could had stayed more healthy. Still a Super Bowl hero in my mind.
Jennings numbered
A new Eli! He continues to be my second biggest Giants collection.
Evan Engram living in the shadows of Jeremy Shockey still. He shows flashes but has to be more consistent especially next year when they will need him.

And a Wayne Gallman autograph to end. I kind of wonder how much longer he will be a Giant with their recent signing of Rod Smith from Dallas to possibly back up Saquon. Maybe he makes them have a three headed monster who knows.
Thanks again to Brent for his generosity again. I have been putting a nice stack aside for you that I hope to get out at some point.

Taking Chances
I have recently begun to explore more trading and taking more chances with new trading partners. That's something I am not usually into. I don't like the risks so I don't put myself out there. But, the last few days I have and pulled off a couple of good trades including today's mail day.
@B_Litch88 put up a couple of nice looking Sterling Shepard autographs on Twitter I just had to get. I couldn't let him just sit there. So I inquired about them and we worked out a trade pretty fast. He was a very reasonable trading partner and I was glad we worked it out as smoothly as we did.
He not only mailed out the Shepards, I will show in a second, he also tossed in some really nice extras I didn't have. The Jennings and Perkins are both /75.
The first Shepard is from Playoff football. 
The second has a sick patch and is from Limited. It's also on-card.

FIVE STAR Trade Mail Day From @sportcards1027
Last week I was messaged by @sportcards1027 and was asked if I was interested in making a trade for some Giants he pulled from 2014 Five Star football. Having seen the picture of his pulls ahead of time and what I would be trading for, without hesitation I agreed to work out a trade.
It didn't take us long to figure out a trade and for the both of us to feel satisfied with it. In his part of the trade, he landed some sweet autographed 8x10's I had listed in my Trading Block tab on the blog. I must also note that I have pulled that tab due to the lack of trade bait right now. I may bring it back when I have more up for trade.
Anyways, my mail day from him was exactly what the product states, it was Five Star! You will see why in a second.
First up, is a redemption rainbow parallel autograph of Giants RB Rashad Jennings. And yes, I know it's a redemption and I know it's a Topps one, but I have had great return success in the few Topps redemptions I have sent in. By the way, I have already entered it so wish me luck on a great return rate for this one too!
Up next for my Andre Williams PC, a new autograph. I really like the design. I hadn't seen Five Star up close til now.
And my final card of the mail day was the one I wanted the most. This card was even more beautiful in person (the silver ink on the black is amazing) and it's my first autograph of this player....Welcome home Eli Manning! You are not going anywhere.

Rashad Jennings....Best NY Giants Pickup?
So far in 2014, I have stocked up on a lot of football cards, specifically this rookie class. I have also stocked up on a lot of Score because it was the first NFL release. When going back through the base cards for sorting purposes, I stumbled upon this one headed for my Giants PC:
That got me to thinking....was Jennings the best and most important pickup this past off season for the Giants? I believe so.
Last season I had to suffer through watching probably the worst running attack I have ever seen from the Giants due to an inconsistent offensive line, running back injuries and it just not coming together. With that being said, the Giants shocked me going out this off-season grabbing a new offensive line and Jennings (among 20 other moves too) to try and go back to what they do best, run the ball down your throat and play good defense.When the season starts, I believe Jennings will be the starter with the questions surrounding David Wilson's health and the other running backs on the roster not having as much talent as Jennings.
Rashad was signed away from Oakland, who wanted to keep him, after one year with the team. He put up his best career season numbers yet rushing for 733 yards and 6 TD's. He also had a sweet 80 yard run that you need to Google to see. There are many things I like about the Giants picking him up, not just because he is a bulldozer of a running back with hidden speed or the fact that he will fit their system well, but I also like that he has a lot left in him. He was drafted in the 7th round of the 2009 NFL Draft by Jacksonville but doesn't have much wear and tear due to the fact he played behind MJD there before finally getting more attempts in Oakland last year. Even though he's been in the league for 6 years, the guy only has 387 attempts on his tires. Like I said, he has a lot left and hopefully many great years for the Giants.
I think being in NY on a team loves to run the ball, Jennings will prove himself with big numbers and I will be there watching every second of it. Not to mention, collecting him every second as well.
