Super Collections:@Hudsonfan15 Tim Hudson Collection

I have followed Tom a long time on Twitter and have watched his pickups for Tim Hudson over the years and am happy he wanted to join in on this series and probably Series finale since I don't have any more of these to post and haven't had time to promote or want to do anymore of these.

Collection In His Words:

I have been collecting Huddy for more than 20 years. Sadly due to the metrics used by the current voters I don't believe he will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. He played on too many offensively anemic teams with poor bullpen arms and was not a strikeout artist. He was a pitcher, not a thrower, who induced contact to be more efficient and stay in games longer wherever possible. He and Pedro Martinez were the top 2 in no decisions in the 2000s, which hurt their win totals. I am always looking for rare Huddy cards and was pleasantly surprised to see he was in a couple new releases in 2021.

Super Collections: Zach's P2020 Ermsy Collection

Thanks to my buddy Jake, he sent my post to a group of P2020 collectors and they responded well.

HIS COLLECTION IN HIS WORDS:

About the only variant I don’t have, yet, is an autograph and I have two of those in waiting. Otherwise this is the whole P20 set, 11 P70 artist sets, about a dozen foils (2 from P20), a dozen APs (1 from P20), 2 dozen companions, and 1 gold!

One set of Ermsy personalized custom Griffey base and companion that I traded an arm and leg for… though I gave many things I loved, I got the far better deal! 😎 plus other Ermsy companions with base.

Super Collections: @JGfan24ever's Logan Thomas Collection

I have followed Michael, @JGfan24ever, since I basically started Twitter and I have been very impressed with his Logan Thomas Super Collection. I must also note, we have been very good friends since then as well and I am glad he wanted to join in on this segment.

"I like underdogs.I started collecting him when the Cardinals Gave up on him. I knew he would be smart and do whatever it took to play football. He has been doing very well at Tight End and think he will just get better and his cards will never leave my collection. Always looking to add more of his cards."

Super Collections: Stefen Kaufman's Ermsy Project Collection

Welcome back again to a new Super Collections. My buddy @Jake1725 shared my tweet about looking for Super Collectors on a Topps Project 2020/70 group he is in and I got multiple responses. So it will be fun sharing these as the details and pictures arrive in my email.

ORIGINS IN HIS WORDS:

"i got into project 2020 at card #91. took me some time to figure out how to buy and collect within the set. started buying ermsy companions from the first one, his ted williams but was chasing the random autos he inserted which i never got lol. so i bought them online, ebay and facebook groups. derek jeter was the first card i asked if he could add a pink panther to the card and a gift basket on another to poke fun at the famous gifts jeter gave to his one night stands. after getting the art in hand i was hooked. i actually went back and asked for 3 card sets embellished of this first p2020 base and companions. i can take better pics if you want anything more clear. i speak with ermsy every week, he asks advice on different things he’s doing. he’s a very cool person which i’m happy i met him through the process."

"here’s the 2 display cases (POSTED BELOW)  i have up with my embellished ermsy project 2020 and project 70 companions and base. i’m completing both sets. i currently have the biggest collection since ermsy didn’t do custom work until later in the project. i have all of the ermsy faps from topps, with trout being a silver/20. i also have the trout chase card /27 signed by ermsy. one of the most interesting cards i bought since i started was the only double signed companion, the bob gibson companion i bought from a guy in england. i don’t think the seller realized he had it. "

I think this a really cool collection. I can see why someone would be deeply into collecting Ermsy after seeing these.

Super Collections: @StarrCards J.K. Dobbins

I am kicking off a new segment I thought many would enjoy checking out. There are Super Collectors, just like myself with Rodney Hampton, everywhere and I have been wanting to showcase them for a while on this blog. So, I took to Twitter, sent out a tweet and some responded to show off their amazing collections.

One of the first ones to respond was long time follower @StarrCards. He has a collection I have admired for a long time with his J.K. Dobbins cards.

ORIGINS:

@StarrCards started collecting J.K. Dobbins after he signed an Index Card for him at a Special Needs prom. @StarrCards is on the Autism Spectrum and went to the event.

NUMBERS:

He has built quite an impressive collection of the Ravens running back piling up 289 total cards which 209 are unique. There are also 77 numbered cards in his collection along with 17 autographs.
