Best Nachos I Ever Had!

There has been a lot of generosity throughout this holiday season and it's been great to view. I have seen other collectors support each other, I have supported some and I have received some. One of those guys was Nachos Grande Blog who took down all commenters want lists and did his best to help.

He took down the fact I collect non sport, don't think there are many bloggers that do, and sent me some goodies. First up, some cool Allen And Ginter I didn't have including Bruce Lee and Tony Hawk base.

 

Then we got political. No we didn't discuss politics, that always goes ugly, but instead he sent me some.

 

And some more...

 

And finally some more. I am a huge fan of these 2008 ones. I believe I am closing in on the set. May be missing only a couple.

And to end it, two packs of cards. One was a Tristar TNA and the other is Yo! MTV Raps. both I am saving for my new series in 2018 called Rainy Day Wax.

Let's Talk About Dre

It's been sometime since I last added a new piece of cardboard to my Andre Williams PC.

Well, yesterday a new one arrived thanks to a Twitter follower, my 76th different Andre and my 10th jersey card.

On Twitter, @DMNTakeover hosts a weekly sale of cards that range from many years and spread across many sports. They are all greatly priced and affordable for all, except me. Well this year anyways.

Been a tough year of finances and expenditures so when it comes to the hobby, that has been pushed off to the side when it comes to spending even a couple of dollars. So when this sweet Andre Williams popped up..

 

 

in his sales gallery, all I could do was watch it swing on by like many other cards I watch on the DMN Takeover do. Some I could have really used for my PC. But, once again, other things in life are more important right now.

This time however, Andre Williams didn't sneak all of the way by as a Twitter follower swooped in to say that he was buying it for me which completely surprised me.

 

@NYCollects, who is one of my newer followers, was very generous in picking this up for my PC and I am very grateful to him for doing so. Thanks again man. It's generosity like yours that keeps the hobby community a positive place and I hope to forward that generosity to someone else in the future.

Have you ever been on either end of hobby generosity? What is the coolest or most unique thing(s) you have received from another collector? Or have you given something unique? I wanna hear about it!

Generous Mail Day From @ATL_GMEN_FAN414

I received a message on Twitter last week from @ATL_GMEN_FAN414 with pictures of a few Giants autographed cards and a request for my address. It completely caught me off guard by his generosity. I thanked him and sent him my address and by weeks end my mail day arrived. It was actually a pick-me-up for a week of sickness as I was tied down for most of it with the nasty stomach bug that wiped me out.

In that mail day, there was this Xavier Gamble autographed rookie card. My first of his.

There was also a Damontre Moore Leaf Draft rookie auto as well.

To finish up this mail day, I was sacked by a JPP auto. This is a beautiful card as well. I didn't think I liked the Valor design til I saw it up close. Very classy.

A HUGE thanks goes out to @ATL_GMEN_FAN414 for making my sick week so much better. I plan on paying you back a mail day in the future for your generosity ;)
