Throwpack Thursday:1992 Wild Card Decision

Welcome to the second Throwpack Thursday!

I said I would plug these in when I had time to do so.

Today's pack comes thanks to blog reader Oren who sent me some packs at Christmas time.

With Presidents being celebrated a few days ago, I thought why not keep the celebration with a presidential product.

1992 Wild Card Decision came with 8 cards per pack. Well, mine came with more. The 100-card product covers the candidates, the issues and love for Ross Perot.

In 1992 I wouldn't have opened any of this product as my cares were more about Darkwing Duck than politics. But, now I find it fun and I still really like Darkwing Duck.

Here is how my pack break went.

It started off with Bill Clinton, then came the brick of cards which I could feel from the outside of the pack to begin with.

Lots of sticking.

Pretty cool design, I like it. And I got 9 cards instead of the 8.

Wished the cards hadn't stuck together though. They will still go into the non-sport PC regardless and I will some day need to chase down the White House card.

Presidential First Pitch

I don't get into politics with anyone, but I do collect political cards.

I actually have a few political cards in my watch list on eBay including two searches for these Presidential First Pitch relic cards.

The problem is that most just sit there in my watchlist.

Until I finally landed one at a good price, I pulled the trigger and couldn't have been happier about the add.

Most relics for these cards come from older stadium seats where the president featured threw out their first pitch.

I think I grabbed a card with a solid swatch on it.

 

Back of the card talks about the first pitch and the guarantee on the swatch.

I wished more relic backs had a small writeup like this instead of just a generic guarantee.

Best Nachos I Ever Had!

There has been a lot of generosity throughout this holiday season and it's been great to view. I have seen other collectors support each other, I have supported some and I have received some. One of those guys was Nachos Grande Blog who took down all commenters want lists and did his best to help.

He took down the fact I collect non sport, don't think there are many bloggers that do, and sent me some goodies. First up, some cool Allen And Ginter I didn't have including Bruce Lee and Tony Hawk base.

 

Then we got political. No we didn't discuss politics, that always goes ugly, but instead he sent me some.

 

And some more...

 

And finally some more. I am a huge fan of these 2008 ones. I believe I am closing in on the set. May be missing only a couple.

And to end it, two packs of cards. One was a Tristar TNA and the other is Yo! MTV Raps. both I am saving for my new series in 2018 called Rainy Day Wax.
